I haven’t played it up until today.)

Alex furrowed his brow. “I don’t think we did?”

(Lol. My best friend has played it, and she tells me that I wouldn’t like it. I trust her judgement in that area. ;P)

“Well now I’m just confused…” Autumn sighed, rubbing at her face and leaning against the car. “We have the papers, right? We just need them signed and notarized?”

(Lol, I don’t think you would either.)

Alex nodded. “Yea. They’re in my glovebox.”

(It’s very dirty, I’ve heard. So, yeah. Not exactly my cup of tea. Lol.)

Autumn hummed and opened the car door to sit down. “Good. Good. I guess we can get this done at the post office, then.”

(Lol Smash Bros Ultimate isn’t dirty. It’s just a Nintendo Fighting game so)

Alex smiled and sat down in the car after helping Jilly in. “Good. Now… hm…”

(Yeah, I know… but Cards Against Humanity is… Isn’t that what we were talking about?)

“What did you forget, babe?” Autumn asked with a chuckle.

Alex patted his thighs. “Hmmm… I think I might’ve forgotten my wallet.”

Autumn laughed lightly. “Go inside and get it, then. We can’t have you driving without your license, love.”

Alex grinned back at them and booped their noses. “Alright. Let me run inside.” He hopped out of the car, jogging back inside to grab his phone and wallet.

Autumn's nose twitched at the boop, and she shook her head with a slight laugh. “He’s such a dork, isn’t he?”

Jilly grabbed her nose, watching Alex jog away. “He’s funny.”

“Yes, he is,” Autumn agreed as she watched him go, a soft look on her face.

Jilly looked up at Autumn, tilting her head. “Do you love him a lot?”

Autumn turned to smile at Jillian, nodding. "Yeah. I do. I love him very much."

Jilly smiled from under her hands, her eyes sparkling. “That’s nice.”

Autumn laughed lightly. "It's very nice. He's an amazing guy."

Jilly smiled a bit more, nodding. “You seem very happy.”

“I am happy. I have an amazing boyfriend and we’re about to adopt an awesome girl,” Autumn said, grinning at her.

Jilly blushed and giggled softly. “Thank you. I like you guys very much.”

“We like you very much, too, Jilly,” Autumn chuckled. She opened her arms to the girl. “C’mere.”

Jilly giggled softly and scooted over, wrapping her arms around Autumn. She liked Autumn’s warm hugs.

Autumn hugged her tightly. “Thank you for letting us adopt you,” she whispered.

Jilly looked up at her. “You’re welcome. Thank you for adopting me.”

Autumn smiled happily and released Jilly from the hug. “It’s our pleasure. We’re so excited.”

Jilly giggled softly, still sitting where she moved to. “I’m excited too. I like living with you guys.”
