(Yeah, that sounds good. Do you want to start or should I?)
(Yeah, that sounds good. Do you want to start or should I?)
(Couldja?)
(Sure.)
“Okay… I blame the fact that I haven’t played in maybe… three years, okay? So it’s totally not fair,” Autumn declared, though she was grinning. Alex had won, go figure.
Alex gave a little cocky grin. “I have been bowling since I was a child. I have a ton of bowling championship trophies.”
“Okay, now it’s even less fair!” Autumn declared, laughing. “You’re basically a professional, and I haven’t played in three years!”
Alex giggled and returned their shoes. “You never asked!”
(Wow. My typo, though…)
“We’ll just have to do something I can win at sometime,” Autumn said, making sure she had everything she needed.
(Sue)
Alex grinned and nudged her. “I bet it’s everything else.”
(I just cannot win today…)
Autumn laughed. “I doubt that. Let’s start with a game. Go home and relax, while playing a game and munching on snacks.”
(Same)
Alex giggled. “But I’ll win at that! It’s my career.”
(I’m just sitting on my grandparents’ couch while they’re not even home and won’t be for about a week. That’s not weird at all, right?)
“Yes, chilling out is definitely your career, babe,” Autumn agreed with a laugh.
(Jk. My mom asked me to grab their mail, and I did, but I haven’t left yet. Lol.)
(Okay… um…)
(Are you wanting to skip?)
(No I just saw your previous response. It was kinda spooky.
(Lmao go get their mail!)
Alex laughed and waved a finger. “It’s true! Enough.”
(Oh, lol. I did. They drive semi-trucks across the country, so they’re gone for weeks at a time sometimes. And they have given us permission to come over whenever, even if they’re not home.)
“Well, then, c’mon! Let’s go home and relax,” Autumn chuckled.
(Oh nice.)
Alex led her to his car and opened the door for her. “Wonderful idea.”
“Why, thank you, sir,” Autumn chuckled as she sat in her seat.
Alex shut the door and walked around the car to the driver’s seat. “You’re welcome, my lady.”
“Oh, hey! What if we go out to that dinner I owe you tomorrow?” Autumn suggested.
Alex’s mouth dropped into an O shape. “You’re gonna take me out?”
“Well, I owe you, do I not?” Autumn reminded him, raising an eyebrow.
Alex giggled. “Yeah. But at least act like you’ll enjoy it.” He pecked her cheek.
“I do! Why would you think I wouldn’t?” Autumn asked.
Alex giggled again and rolled his eyes. “Don’t get upset. Do you want me to help pay for it?”
