Elaine let out a quiet sigh, melting into her touches. Her hands slid down to Veronica’s waist, gently nudging her up until she was straddling her waist, begging to be kissed.

Just the feeling of Elaine straddling her made Veronica’s lips crash into Elaine’s. She wanted to taste her, she wanted to have her. Her tongue flicked at Elaine’s lower lip, a desperate need within her.

Elaine crushed her mouth against Veronica’s, light-headed from the heavy rush of emotion and adrenaline. God, she needed this girl. Needed her like a flower needed sunlight, all day, every day. She parted her lips, allowing Veronica to slip in.

Veronica’s tongue was alight with the taste of her, and all she wanted was to memorize that taste and the feeling of Elaine. I love her, I love her so dang much, I love her… Veronica’s hands balled into fists around Elaine’s shirt, pulling Elaine up against her harder.

Elaine's fingers dug into Veronica's waist as she leaned even closer, letting out a soft, almost shy, sound of pleasure. She tasted so good, like caramel and honey, like all things sweet, it was impossible to quench the burning need inside of her for more.

Veronica didn’t know how much time had passed as she kissed Elaine over and over again, but it felt like the timer she set for the potatoes went off too soon. She peeled herself away from Elaine, shooting a frown at the doorway. She turned back, placing a small kiss on Elaine’s forehead, “Time flies when you’re with someone you love…”

The pout returned, as did a blush. “Mm, I can see that.” Elaine carefully detangled herself from Veronica, her legs wobbling a bit when she tried to stand. “I’ll come down too.”

Veronica stretched her arms a little, the missing warmth of Elaine’s cuddling made her frown a little more, but she grabbed Elaine’s hand and forced her legs to move and go downstairs, “At least we can eat dinner together, you know,” Veronica smiled a little bit, fondly remembering dinner from yesterday.

"Yeah," Elaine agreed, reaching up to slip the elastic out of her braid. She ran her fingers through it, undoing it and letting her dark hair spill down over her shoulders and back. "And I could maybe sit in your lap while doing so?"

“I certainly wouldn’t be apalled,” Veronica replied lazily, barely containing her smirk. She made her way to the oven and grabbed pot holders to retrieve the delux cheesy potatoes. Veronica scooped out two servings for each of them, setting the plates down before sitting. She looked to Elaine then, a glint of hungry desire in her eyes.

Elaine's pulse immediately rushed, her eyes locking with Veronica's. There was something in her eyes, a desire, that made her heart run wild. Biting her lip, she carefully sat down in her girlfriend's lap, picking up her fork.

Elaine’s warmth flooded in her, and Veronica’s heart was pounding so hard she wouldn’t be surprised if Elaine could feel it. Veronica grabbed her fork, leaning her chest up against Elaine’s back so she could eat over her girlfriend’s shoulder. “You’re soft, by the way…”

Elaine's poor heart almost tore itself right out of her chest. "Th-Thanks. You too– you're really, um, comfortable." Oh my god. I'm sitting in Veronica's lap. Wow. She was acutely aware of everywhere they touched, of her breath tickling her ear, her chin hovering over her shoulder.

Veronica ‘accidentally’ ended up leaning her chin on Elaine’s shoulder as one of her her arms came to curled around Elaine as she took another bite of her food, “To be honest, I never thought I’d ever love someone like this,” She confessed softly, closing her eyes for a few breaths as she took another bite.

Elaine's breath hitched slightly. A stupidly large smile spread across her face as she shook her hair in front of her eyes, flustered. "Me neither, nor did I think anyone would love me," she whispered back, her hand finding Veronica's, the one around her waist.

“It all just seems impossible… For me to be with you…” Veronica grinned, setting down her fork and nuzzling into Elaine. “It was just a little fantasy I had been in denial about, and here I am. With you.” Veronica placed a soft kiss on Elaine’s neck before withdrawing slightly so she could grab another bite.

Elaine leaned into Veronica, savouring each and every part of her. "That's how it seems to me.. I don't understand how you could possibly love me. I'm definitely not complaining, I'd never do that. This is like… a dream come true."

“You’re perfect, how could I not love you?” Veronica smiled, a warmth flickering in her chest. “I never want this dream to end, I want to be with you for as long as you’ll have me,” Veronica told Elaine softly, her heart fluttering.

And right in that moment, Elaine couldn’t remember ever being happier. “I’ll always want you,” she whispered to Veronica, leaning back against her and craning her head to give her a kiss on the cheek. “How could I not?”

“Oh Elaine… I don’t deserve you.” Veronica told her, but her mouth demanded to taste Elaine’s skin again so she dipped her head and placed gentle kisses into the crook of Elaine’s neck. This girl… this perfect girl…

A soft sound escaped Elaine, Veronica’s soft mouth was so soothing on her skin, it was as if she wanted to memorise every single part of her. “Of course you do,” she said gently, lost in a sea of euphoria. “If anything, it’s me who doesn’t deserve you..”

Veronica laughed softly onto Elaine’s smooth skin. “No, you’re brilliant,” She purred, her mostly eaten dinner forgotten on the table as she started to trail kisses up and down Elaine’s neck, murmuring in between, “You’re smart, funny, kind, sweet, soft, perfect……”

Another soft sound escaped. Elaine curled into Veronica, leaning into her perfect touch, eyes shut in absolute ecstasy. "That's all you, not me.." she managed to murmur, unable to think properly.

“No way,” Veronica mumbled in reply, hardly able to take her lips off Elaine’s neck. Her hands trailed up and down Elaine’s sides lovingly. She needed her, Veronica needed to have Elaine in her life. It was like a need for water.

"Yes way," she started to insist, but was cut off by the gasp that tumbled from her lips as Veronica's roaming mouth found a sweet spot on her neck. She clutched desperately at the other girl, leaning into her touches.
