Veronica slept well that night, and they were mercifully uninterrupted- her parents had gone to bed without saying goodnight by some lucky chance. Veronica’s alarm beeped softly and her arms around Elaine tightened slightly- too tired to actually move and shut off her alarm.
Elaine blinked her eyes open with a soft groan, the alarm clock seeping into the first pleasant dream she’d had in ages and tugging her from her deep sleep. She yawned, looking around. “Veronica?”
“Mmmmmhmmm,” Veronica slowly reached over, her hand unsuccessfully trying to turn off her alarm. Her other arm curled around Elaine a bit more, just wanting to not have to wake up and be able to cuddle with Elaine forever.
Elaine reached out an arm, fumbling around a bit before managing to silence the alarm. She turned on her side to face her girlfriend, burying her face in the other girl’s neck. “Nghh..”
Let’s just… not go to school, is what she meant to say, but all that came out was, “Mmmmm………” Veronica wrapped both her arms around Elaine, pulling her as close as possible and entangling their legs together. I love her…
Elaine curled up against Veronica’s warmth, groaning again. “I don’t want to go to school…” she mumbled into her girlfriend’s chest. “Ngh..”
“Let’s just… not…” Veronica mumbled into Elaine’s hair, even though she knew that her parents would wake her up before it got to that point. But she could still enjoy the moment at least.
“Mph,” Elaine agreed, shifting forwards. She began to trail lazy kisses down Veronica’s neck, still half-asleep.
Veronica made a small noise of pleasure, trying to expose her neck more to Elaine. She tangled her hands into her girlfriend’s soft hair, slowly teasing out the tangles from the night.
A sigh of contentment whistled through her, but even in her sleepy state, she managed to recover enough wits to cover Veronica's mouth with her hand. Getting caught by her parents would be disastrous, to say the least. Leaning in again, she dragged her mouth across the soft, exposed skin in front of her.
Veronica just barely held back her moan as those sweet lips touched her skin. Gosh she loved it. She wanted to wake up every day like this. Veronica curled her legs around Elaine, pleasure pouring into her with every graceful touch of Elaine’s perfect lips.
Elaine shivered, continuing to work her starving lips down Veronica's neck. She grazed the other girl's collarbone, lifting her head for a second to murmur in her ear. "Forget breakfast….. this is all the breakfast I need…"
A noise escaped Veronica on accident -gosh, Elaine- and she tightened her grip around the girl. She needed those lips all over her, gosh she needed- A creak sounded and Veronica knew that meant someone was coming up the stairs, and her instincts kicked in and she hastily jumped away from Elaine.
Elaine rolled off the bed, panic rising, but she was a quick thinker. "Oh god, sorry Veronica! I must have knocked this over in my sleep, are you okay?" She grabbed the thick blanket folded at the foot of the bed and tossed it onto the ground like a sleeping mat.
The door opened to reveal her mother’s face. But Veronica followed Elaine’s lead, “Yeah, I’m fine, just got a little startled,” She forced out a laugh to cover her panic. Thankfully, her racing heart was slowing down finally.
“You two okay? You might want to get up now and get some breakfast, don’t. want to be late for school,” Mrs. Blike told them, a bit of concern in her voice but it seemed like she believed the act.
Elaine smiled sheepishly up at Mrs. Blike, trusting in her acting skills. "Yeah, we're fine. Thanks Mrs. Blike, we'll be right down."
Veronica’s mom gave them a smiled and finally left, and Veronica let out a relieved sigh, “I guess I’m definitely awake now,” She stretched and let out a laugh as she added quietly, “That was close.”
Elaine let out a short laugh and a groan, rubbing her tired eyes. “Yeah…” She stepped close with a teasing grin, pressing a single kiss to Veronica’s jaw before whispering in her ear. “I guess we’ll pick this up another time…” Turning away, she closed the door and grabbed her sleepover bag.
Veronica’s heart roared, and gosh it took everything in her to not just get up and press Elaine against the wall. Veronica forced herself to move and pick out an outfit for the day, “You can borrow some of my clothes if you want,” She told Elaine with a smile.
Elaine grinned, mind flickering back to the night they’d spent together at her house. “Sure, if that’s okay. Can you pick something out for me?”
“I’m not as good of a stylist as you, but…” Veronica carefully grabbed out a pair of leggings and a blouse she thought would look good on Elaine, “Here you are, love.” Veronica presented the outfit to Elaine with a tiny smile.

Elaine ran a hand through her tanged hair, a slight blush having risen to her cheeks. "It looks great, thank you," she said in a quiet, suddenly bashful tone. Taking the outfit, she held it out in front of her. "Should fit."

Veronica grabbed out her own outfit out, laying the clothes put on the bed, “If you want to change in here, I can go to the bathroom if you want.” Veronica said, part of her wishing they could have another moment like last night.

Elaine paused her admiration of the blouse to smile at Veronica. "Sure, if that's okay with you. Or I could take the bathroom, whichever."
“Nah, I got to stay in the bedroom last night,” Veronica grabbed her outfit but paused beside Elaine before she walked out and whispered, “Besides, now it’s my turn to walk in and see you half dressed.” But Veronica was already blushing despite herself, and was quickly walking out the door and towards the bathroom to get dressed.
