Elaine swore that her heart stopped beating for a split second. Her breathing hitched, she slipped out of her pyjama pants– or rather, Veronica's pyjama pants– slowly, very slowly. Her fingers fumbled with her pyjama shirt, grabbing hold of a pair of leggings and beginning to put them on.
Veronica quickly slipped into the bathroom and her hands were immediately fumbling to get her pyjamas off and her clothes on. She tried not to got too fast -she didn’t want to force anything on Elaine- but at the same time her her pounded with every breath. As soon as she slipped her clothes on, she walked back to her bedroom door. Veronica made sure to walk over the creak in the floorboards, just before she opened the door.
(Btw, sorry I disappeared for a few days)
(Dw about it, how are you?)
The creak from just outside the door alerted Elaine just as she was finished pulling her leggings on. She took her sweet time grabbing hold of her shirt, turning just as the door swung open.
(Notebook has just been kinda hard on my depression lately, but I think the break helped so I’m doing better)
By the time Veronica slipped in the room and closed the door behind her, her face was as red as a fire truck. “H-Hey,” Her mouth fumbled to make words as she forced her eyes to look at Elaine’s face. “I-I guess we’re even now,” She mumbled absentmindedly, her face still a bright red.
(Glad you’re doing better and that you took a break to help get yourself back on track)
Elaine didn’t bother to slip on the blouse just yet, only covered her chest slightly with her arms and smirked. “Mm, I guess we are.” She took a step forward, running a hand through her hair. “Satisfied?”
Veronica’s tongue forgot how to function as she took a few steps to close the distance between them. She slowly brushed her lips against Elaine’s and wrapped her arms around her, “I think… I am…” She murmured onto Elaine’s lips as she kissed her again.
Elaine hummed against Veronica’s mouth, grinning. “Good.” She pulled away and turned, casting a teasing look over her shoulder. “‘Cause I gotta get dressed.”
“Aww, darn,” Veronica laughed, but her eyes drifted over Elaine’s smooth back and her heart yearned for more snuggles. She forced herself to shift her gaze to the floor though, because if she stared any longer she wouldn’t be able to focus at all today.
“Is that disappointment I hear?” She purred, careful to keep her voice down as she pulled the blouse over her head.
“Maybe,” Veronica told her with a cunning smile, eyes glittering with amusement. This was true happiness, being with Elaine like this. Here Veronica was, on a school day morning, smiling. This -what Elaine and Veronica had together- this was happiness.
Elaine finished getting dressed and turned to admire Veronica. “You look beautiful… as always, of course.”
Veronica blushed, “You look just as beautiful,” She told her and closed the distance between them to intertwine her fingers with Elaine’s and added, “The past few days have been perfect.”
“More than perfect.” Elaine leaned forward to lean her forehead against Veronica’s. “I’ve never been this happy in my life.”
(Pssst
Um, hi. I’m back. How have things been lately?
Also, I’d love to continue or reboot this if you wanted to maybe?)
