Amory looked over at Sorrel and pulled over, putting the car in park and setting his forehead on the steering wheel. "You want to know what my trauma was, don't you…?" He figured that if they were going to be intimately involved with each other, Sorrel should know it, but that didn't make him feel and more comfortable sharing it.
Sorrel looked around the car, and wondered why it was in park. He really must have noticed his aimless wondering. "I do, Amory, and for you to have pulled over, it's important. I'm ready to bear this with you."
Amory's breath and heartbeat was speeding up in his fear. He tried to say it, but the words refused to come out of his open mouth. He lifted his head, closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths before finally whispering, "I was… taken advantage of… sexually." His voice cracked at the end, having deliberately avoided using the specific, ugly word for what had happened to him.
Sorrel looked so heartbroken at what had apparently happened to Amory. He shivered, before gathering the confidence to say what he would. "Amory, that really sounds awful. I'll be sure to be careful with you, to make sure you know I love you before I do anything. You have the word, "no", I'll respect you if you ever don't want to do something, anything." He said, slowly. He genuinely cared for the other.
( GTG!! See you soon! )
(See you on Monday!!!! <3)
Amory opened his eyes and looked over at Sorrel. He looked tired… So tired. "I know. Thank you. It was several years ago, but I'm still working through it…" He sighed and set his head back against his seat. "It was back when I was in the military. It happened when I was on deployment. A coworker of mine did it. After that, I reported it, (It was difficult because we were both male, but they eventually accepted it) and I left the Army." Amory was just staring into space now, pain in his eyes from the memories. He looked almost sick.
Sorrel's expression shifted dramatically into remorse, for the other's pained memories. He sat up a little more, and looked… awake, alive, even. "Amory, whoever they were, I hope they're suffering for what they did to you. You, of all people, don't deserve that. No one should have anything like that happen to them." He said, indignantly. He sighed. "The world's such an awful place, isn't it?" He asked, with a smaller smile.
Marduk took a deep, shaky breath, forcing himself to relax. He nodded. "It really is. But sometimes the good outweighs the bad." He turned his head to look at Sorrel with a small, half-smile. "Like meeting you. Anyways-" He sat up again and pulled the car out of park and pulled away from the curb again. "Let's make today a good day. Sorry for dropping that sad bomb on you, but I felt like you deserved to know."
( Hey there, Whisper!!! )
Amory was so brave for admitting what he did, and it stunned Sorrel a little. Sorrel nodded, and laughed a little bit. "Thank you for that, truly. You're right, the good outweighs the bad, and I'll fight to make sure that also applies to the day today." He said, cautiously. "You never have to be sorry, Amory. Every sorry you speak will be replied with a simple, 'It's okay'." He added, happily.
(Hi!!!!! How was your week/weekend?)
Amory let out a small half sigh, half chuckle. He reached out and set a hand on Sorrel's thigh. "Thank you. That means more to me than you know." Amory finally found the little cafe that he was heading for and pulled into the parking lot. When he put the car in park, he leaned over and gently pulled on Sorrel's collar to bring him into a kiss.
( Well I got sick and right now I feel like passing out haha. Wby? )
Sorrel blushed as his little flustered feelings flooded his body. "Amory, Amory," He hummed, softly. His eyes were filled with optimism, the brightest light shining through them. "You really do know how to make a guy smile." He added, under his breath. He reached around Amory, hugging him slightly as he did his thing.
(My parents want me to join the military and are pobably going to drag me to a requiter and my BF apparently has PTSD from his father being in the militray and actually cried when I told him, and I have no clue what to do.)
Amory smiled between kisses, his fingers getting entangled in Sorrel's soft, white hair. "I'm glad… Also, I cannot get over how beautiful your eyes are. You're just all around so gorgeous, and I swear you cheated in the genetic lottery." He chuckled and pressed one more kiss to the other's lips before letting go and slipping out of the car, jogging around to open Sorrel's door for him, presenting a hand to help him out.
( Bless your soul! Whisper, I'm actually so afraid for you right now. Please be careful with decisions and proceed with caution. )
Sorrel giggled as he took Amory's hand. As he was lifted out, he purposefully stumbled onto the other, and laughed even more. Could the day get even better? He tapped Amory's nose and gave him a newer look, a really special, cute one. "Oh please. If anyone cheated, it would be you." He said, with some form of assertion.
(Definitely.)
Amory closed the door, while bracing Sorrel against his body, then wrapped his arms around Sorrel, his smile wide and his eyes bright with happiness, noting the new look Sorrel was giving him. "What, me, with the ordinary looks? Absolutely not." He kissed the shorter one deeply, love communicated in both the kiss and his grip on the other, so gentle but possessive.
Sorrel kissed the other before shaking his head. "Dear me, Amory, you're completely abnormal. Too perfect for this world." He said, before noticing the cafe's scent. He paused for a second, before speaking with excitement. "Amory, this place smells so good!" He exclaimed, noticing the scent coming from the inside of the cafe. His eyes sparkled again, he really liked it. "Mmm.~"
( I'll pray a little bit, see if it helps you out at all. )
(You sound just like a very good friend of mine, aha… Thanks. It would be appreciated.)
Amory laughed at Sorrel's abrupt change of focus and started to lead the other inside. "They always are baking something. From the smell, I'd say they're making their cinnamon-chocolate muffins. They're really good. Would you like one?" He was heading for the counter already, but stepped to the side at the last minute so Sorrel could have time to view the menu.
( Oh, really? Wow. )
Sorrel nodded. "I'll have everything you get, and one of those muffins." He said. He didn't always know what to do, so he immediately just decided to get whatever Amory did. He took in the cafe's appearance, scents, and current population. It smelled like heaven to him, and looked so beautiful. Just like Amory. "This is awesome, it's so like you." He said, quite randomly. To one who hadn't heard his thoughts , he might have sounded insane.
(Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I was watching Air Force BMT videos and I got distracted.)
Amory ordered their food then looked at Sorel in confusion. "What do you mean by that?" He draped an arm around Sorrel's waist and let him away to the counter where they'd get their food. Amory could smell the coffee brewing in the background and his mouth watered in anticipation.
( Don't worry. I'm not feeling good anyways, so it was alright. )
Sorrel thought upon how to present what he thought, and eventually found a decent summary. "Well, you see, it's very loving and warm here. It's perfectly put together, and beautiful. You, my lover, are the same as this. Completely perfect." He said, as he laid his gaze on Amory's shoulder. He couldn't keep his look straight, and didn't want to.
(Aw, I'm sorry. Are you feeling better this morning?)
( I am! A little weak, but otherwise I'm much better! Wby? )
Amory smiled and cuddled Sorrel close. "You're so sweet… What did I do to deserve you?" He tipped the smaller male's chin up with a finger so he could capture his lips with his own. "I love you." And Amory truly looked fully in love.
(I'm doing alright. A little worried, because my BF hasn't shown up for two days straight, but other than that, fine!)
( It'll be alright. Maybe he's sick, or going through something. It will be okay. )
Sorrel kissed Amory, then, due to the fact he just looked too sweet. He wrapped his arms around the other's neck, keeping a slight distance between himself and Amory. He was in public, he had to keep himself in some form of restraint. He loosened his grasp, unwillingly, and ruffled Amory's hair. He blushed a little darker than before. "Amory," He whined, so softly.
(Yeah…)
Amory chuckled and pulled away as someone served up their food. "Are you embarrassed…~?" Amory asked in a low voice. "That's adorable." He grabbed their food and led Sorrel over to a secluded table in a corner by a window. "Here we go." He set down the food and pulled Sorrel's chair out for him like he had last night at dinner.
Sorrel nodded slightly at Amory's words. Compared to the 'at work' behavior of the two, they seemed to be completely reversed when together. Sorrel really was more shy when he was with Amory, and Amory definitely appeared more confident when he was with the other. Sorrel sat down gracefully, and smiled. "You're going to make me look like the office roses again," He mumbled, with such an energetic drawl.
