( heyy sorry I'm late, )
Sorrel blushed softly, as he looked down at Amory's hand. It made him so happy to see it, he felt so grateful for its presence. "But you, Amory. How long have you enjoyed books? You're my favorite thing to read now, and I want more details.~" Sorrel said, with a goofy smile.
(No problem! I'll tty tomorrow!)
Amory whistled low. "Nice pick-up line." He grinned and thought for a moment. "Probably ever since I learned how to read. I was actually always getting in trouble at school for reading a book when I wasn't supposed to. I still passed most of my classes with flying colors, so I still don't know why they were so upset." He chuckled. His hand gently rubbed Sorrel's leg before moving to capture the other's hand. "I didn't really start reading anything other than fiction though until I was a Junior in high school. Then I found the glories of non-fiction. I also started trying to write stories of my own when I was 12, but everything I tried was kinda crappy. But the story I'm currently working on, I've been slaving away over it for about, oh, 6 or 7 years now."
( Morning!! )
"Amory, Amory!" Sorrel exclaimed, with such brightness. He grasped the other's hand, quite enthralled by the idea of Amory's book. "Do tell what it's about! I had no clue you were writing a book!" He said, happily. He wanted to know every detail of every page of Amory's writing, and what it pertained to. He, though his joy, took notes of everything Amory said, careful to make sure all was correct.
(Morning!!! <3)
Amory blushed hard at Sorrel's reaction. "It's not great… J-just about a bunch of teenagers on a road trip… The main character is a blooming poet, so I have to write some poetry too…" His face was extremely red. He was very sensitive about his writing and wasn't very confident in his skills.
( How're you? :D Also omg Amory dude, blushy babyyy )
"That sounds pretty awesome, actually! I'd read that so much!" Sorrel marveled, just imagining it. "That main character sounds pretty cool, too. You're doing fine as far as I can tell," Sorrel said, as he reached over to gently poke Amory's cheek. Sorrel's eyes beamed with delight at the skills of his handsome other.
(I'm doing pretty good! You? And yeah, it's pretty cute amiright?)
Amory mumbled in embarrassment, "You haven't read it yet… It's not all that great…."
He smiled a little at Sorrel poking his cheek and he turned and nipped the finger again, chuckling before turning back to the road, turning again. He took a deep breath and recited:
(Gimme a sec to copy/paste my poem)
( Aaaah okay!! :D Also, MUCH better. I'm finally okay! )
Amory recited this:
It's no matter how hard we try,
Because we lost our wings so we cannot fly,
And so we're only prolonging our inevitable fall,
From our angel perches never seeming so tall.
( Oh good gracious that's beautiful- )
Sorrel breath appeared to have been stolen by the words. As Amory spoke, Sorrel only grew more in love with the tone. It flowed so perfectly, and it came from his lips. "Amory," He mumbled, unsure of how to phrase all of the thoughts flooding into his mind. "That was almost as beautiful as you, truly…" He said, going utterly speechless right after.
(I'm a budding poet myself. lol.)
If it were possible, Amory would've turned redder. "It's one of my better ones… But still not great… I'm working on it." Amory bit his bottom lip as he glanced at Sorrel out of the corner of his eye. "You probably just haven't heard much poetry…"
( Maybe Amory writes about you? )
Sorrel thought carefully about his next words, choosing them very well. "Maybe I have, maybe I haven't, but I know something good when I see it, that's what being a boss does to you." He said, proud of his roots. Lyrics were veiled poetry, Sorrel thought to himself. He laughed a little at the thought he'd just imagined.
(lol, he's writing the same story I'm writing rn. And the main character is very based off me, so in a way, he is. lol)
Amory smiled a little. "If you say so. How is it anyway? Being the CEO of an entire company?" He was curious. He didn't really know what goes on in Sorrel's day to day life. He wanted to know.
( That's adorable omg :-: )
Sorrel suddenly pulled his hair, and groaned, before letting himself laugh a little bit. "It's so tiring. You never get sleep, at all, and everyone is so hard to work with. People can be so agitating. Oh, and how professional we have to be, it's awful. I'd rather humiliate myself in something comfortable." Sorrel's list of things he didn't like went on, and on, and on. "But, I can say it's lead me to a few great friendships, and you." Sorrel said, setting Amory apart from the rest of the people he knew. He smiled. "So I guess it's a big win."
Amory smiled. "Why don't you set a day each week where everyone can wear casuals? That way, you can take a break from the professionalism without seeming unprofessional. And you take a lunch, right? Just put a sign on your door that says something like, "On lunch" and shut your door so no one will disturb you and take a nap. Put an alarm to wake you up when your break is over." Amory wanted to help, and this was the best he could do, besides stepping out of place to tell Sorrel to promote him to his assistant to help, which would seem rude and rather like he was taking advantage of their relationship.
"Sure. It might even give me another side of you to see, too." Sorrel said. He imagined seeing Amory once a week, casually, and it made him blush. "You're filled to the brim with awesome ideas, aren't you?" He asked with delight. His eyes sparkled at the idea of a less-controlled office, one with less formality. "In fact, I'll do it." Sorrel said. "You deserve something for that," He whispered, softly.
(Morning…)
Amory smiled a little. "You realize, this-" he gestured to his outfit "-is my version of casual? I don't wear sweatpants or such outside of my house. And I just have a few ideas from things I've seen around, it's nothing amazing. Everyone has ideas, it's just a matter of whether it's relevant to the conversation and whether it's convenient. But I'm glad it could help." He glanced over at Sorrel when he whispered the last comment. "What, being your boyfriend isn't a reward enough for me?" He chuckled as he pulled into a parking spot outside the park, then when he turned off the car, he leaned over and captured Sorrel's lips with his own.
( You okay? )
Sorrel grasped Amory, careful not to alarm anyone around with his movements. "Maybe not. Maybe nothing will ever satisfy the little monster inside of me." He purred, simply, before pecking Amory's cheek. He lifted the other up, and gracefully shut the door behind him. He shot a really hot, playful glance at Amory. "Haha," He smirked.
(Sorry, it was a bad day for me.)
Amory grinned and leaned closer as Sorrel mentioned the monster within him then looked surprised as Sorrel escaped. He saw Sorrel's expression and he smirked, biting his lip as he got out himself and ran around the car, chasing Sorrel, his fingers making a gripping motion as he laughed, coming at Sorrel to grab him.
( Don't worry, Whisper. We all have our days. Experienced my first funeral, saw my first dead body. I'm feeling better after it though??? )
Sorrel looked rather shocked as he took off, running from Amory as if he were still a child. "Oh no, scary beast! Away with you, away!" He cried, jokingly. It made him laugh more than anything else. He took off towards a tree and hid behind it, though he was so easily exposed. He knew he'd be caught there, but it was okay. Amory was worth it.
(Oh dear… So you're doing alright then? Actually, I briefly debated upon going into funeral services or working in a mortuary. Bodies and blood never really bothered me)
Amory decided to continue the joke and played along, crouching over, his hands in a claw-like shape, acting like a monster, and growled, "Where did my prey go..? It couldn't have possibly just disappeared… Hmmm… Where did my delicious meal go…?~"
( Much better. I don't know why though. Maybe ou should, after all, more job openings come up for that every year. )
Sorrel swallowed a little, peeking from around the tree. He had his shining, pink eyes laid on Amory. He was so funny, it was astonishing how different he could be. He picked a stick off of the ground, then, and ran out at him. "Ayy! I'll slay you, monster! Try me!" He said, with an entertaining aura. He looked as if he'd acted the part every day, it was something new to see.
(I know, that's why I was thinking about it. I really need a job to support me and my BF in the future, but I have no clue whether it requires college or training. I'm currently thinking about getting my license and becoming a mail carrier.)
Amory perked up as he "noticed" Sorrel. "Aha! There's my lunch~!" He bolted for Sorrel and crashed into him pulling them both down to the ground, flipping them around mid-air so he became a cushion for Sorrel to land on. When they landed, he pushed Sorrel's head to the side gently and started nipping and kissing a piece of his neck that didn't have make-up on it, making fake eating noises and growls.
( Well I'll just warn you, sometimes relationships don't last, so always put yourself first. A license is cool, though. Got mine during the summer. )
Sorrel squirmed, laughing the whole time Amory "ate" him. "Amory, Amory!" He exclaimed, happily. His heart raced a mile an hour, his mind raced with thoughts. He felt so lucky to have such a great person, such a great co-worker, such a great lover. Amory was all around perfect. He raised the other's head up, just inches away from his own face, and stared into his eyes. "Gorgeous thing…"
