He shrugged. "Yes, well." He sighed softly. "Doesn't change the fact that I don't smile."
He shrugged. "Yes, well." He sighed softly. "Doesn't change the fact that I don't smile."
"I'm just saying….you should do it more. I used to not talk to men because of…" Personal reasons" but here i am, talking to you….im not saying you should be able to do it if i can, we're all different, but….im just sayin-"
She was interrupted by the loud bell and the chemistry teacher walking in. A guy in his late twenties that all of the girls gawk over. Rolling her eyes as she heard squeals from around her.
Jared shook his head. "Crystal…I don't smile because I don't have a lot to smile about." He glanced at the teacher with a sigh. "Just…" He shook his head again.
"Your smile can make someone happy. Everyone has something to smile about"
She says as she smiled at him, which she normally never does to people she just met, but she felt like he could use one.
Jared gave her a flat stare. "Just…" He sighed softly, raking a hand through his red hair. "Fine."
"whats 'fine' supposed to mean?"
She whispers with a little laugh, trying not to get caught by the teacher.
He sighed. "Fine. You win. Maybe I'll try and smile a little more often." He shrugged a bit.
"good."
She says hitting his hand with her pen and looking back at the teacher with a smirk.
"So, do you like chemistry?"
"No." He replied. "Nor do I like the teacher." He glanced at her with a small smile. "You?"
"not really….although the puns are funny"
She says smiling at herself thinking that comment by itself was hilarious.
He gave a half shrug. "Yeah, i guess." He said with a small smile.
He gave a half shrug. "Yeah, i guess." He said with a small smile.
"do you get it though? Like….. you can make so many puns just off of the periodic table!"
She says a little excited just thinking about them. She was such a silly nerd at heart
Jared chuckled softly. "Mhm. I know." He replied, taking notes as the teacher talked.
"Do you know any good ones?"
She says not paying attention to the teacher.
Shes taking chemistry because she already knew everything, so she could just get better grades in class.
"Not off the top of my head, no." Jared replied, still taking notes as he listened to both her and the teacher.
"Fine….so whaddya normally do after school?"
She says with a smile as she lays her head on the table on her arms.
"Uhm…go home." He replied with a small shrug. "Not much, really. Homework."
"Okay Mr. AntiSocial."
She says jokingly as she swirls a pencil in her hand. She was gonna ask him to hang out, but….he seemed to uninterested in even talking to her.
Jared sighed softly. "I don't have that many friends, Crystal. Most of the ones I used to have decided they didn't like me anymore when I was returned from being held hostage, and jumped every time someone touched me, and had panic attacks almost daily!" He hissed. He took a deep breath, looking away. He hadn't meant to admit that.
Scooting away from him a little bit,
"Im….sorry"
She says suddenly acting extremely submissive. She had problems of her own, hence why she didnt talk to guys.
maybe ill try talking to him, actually talk to a guy for once. Bull
She thought to herself as she kind of cowered away, still having to sit by him though.
Jared rubbed his face. "Look, Crystal… I'm sorry." He said softly. "I didn't mean to snap at you. I just have…sorry." he said again, looking down at his notebook, closing his eyes for a moment.
Looking away, then down at her desk, giving him a side glance, only her blue eye visible, not saying anything though.
Jared sighed softly. "Crystal? Are you going to say anything, or is my apology just going to hang in the air awkwardly?"
"sorry…. i didnt expect you to….say that."
She whispers as she turns her head, her multicolored eyes looking up at him like a puppy.
