Drew shook his head. “No. I’ll… I’ll just be here.” He shrugged.
Drew shook his head. “No. I’ll… I’ll just be here.” He shrugged.
"Ok! I'll see you in a bit!" She said racing up stairs to help with the ship. 'We need to come up with a solution for this blind problem. He doesn't know the ship well enough to walk around.' she thought.
Drew felt around himself before laying down slowly. Maybe he’d try to get some sleep, considering he felt very tired. He was kept up by the Navy soilders, who tried to ask him prying questions.
Shadow walked up to the deck. "Shadow!" Jake called. "Yes Captain?" "Have you found you his name?" "Drew Capitain." "Drew. A fitting name for a prince." "I agree."
Drew shut his eyes and yawned. He dozed off slowly…
"You going to have to stay with him most of the time. Since he is our hostage and well the elephant in the room." Shadow nodded. "I understand sir." "Does he have any magical abilities?" "Not that he knows of, sir." "You should test him for some." "I agree, sir." Shadow said nodding her head.
Drew twitched awake fretfully. Something had fallen far away… perhaps it was just his imagination. He shook himself and shut his lids over his useless eyes.
Shadow walked back down stairs to Drew. She saw him on the bed lying sown with his eyes closed. "Is he asleep?" she wondered.
Drew shook his head. “I’m just resting my eyes. You’re back? Already?”
"Yes. I was just talking to captain. Getting instructions." She said sitting down on the bed. "You doing OK?"
Drew nodded and sat up carefully. “I am doing okay. Thanke you for asking.”
"Cap said I should try to test you for magic. I'm not sure how to do that but I'm going to try." She explained.
Drew nodded a bit. “Okay. So you don’t have any plans?” He asked, just to make sure.
"I have absolutely no idea." She said shrugging.
Drew blinked his dull eyes. “Er… alrighty, then…”
"I was going to ask around but I'll do that later." She said flopping down. "So any talents? Hobbies?"
Drew shrugged and jumped at the sudden movement of the bed. “Er… no, not really.”
"Oh! Sorry. Nothing? No interests? Nothing?" She asked.
“N-no. Not really.” Drew shook his head. “And that’s okay.”
"Really? What do you do when your bored?" She asked.
Drew shrugged. “I can’t really do much.”
"So you just lie around? You don't do anything?" Shadow asked. She was shocked by this. She hardly ever got any free time on the ship so this was so weird.
Drew nodded. “Just about. Father never let me do much. He never even let me go outside.”
At this point Shadow went silent. Hardly ever going outside? The idea seemed foreign to her. She lived of a pirate ship which means not a long of cover from the elements and even before that she wasn't inside very much because she was helping with the chores.
Drew looked down at his hands again, which were on his lap. He sighed softly into the silence, trying not to be bothered by it. He didn’t upset her somehow, right?
