It's an inside joke, don't worry 'bout it.//
(Please? >.<
Maybeβ¦)
(Sure!
You have time)
M handed her a couple paper money cash, sighing. βWell, with that, you won.β He smiled a bit. βGrrat job.β
Alison chuckled and added the money to her stack. "Well, it looks like your strategy doesn't work every time , love."
(PM me about it? Then I'll seeβ¦)
M rolled his eyes and relaxed into the couch, resting his head on the pillow. He yawned widely again.
βGood job, lovely. I suppose it doesnβt.
Alison smiled at him as she started to pack the game away. "Are you sure you don't want to sleep at all? Maybe just a quick nap?"
M hugged the pillow with another faint yawn, half-closing his eyes. βA nap sounds nice.β
"Then why don't we love to the bed, then?" Alison chuckled. "It's much more comfortable than the couch. Plus, I'm sure you'd fit on it better."
M glanced up, glancing back down the couch at his dangling legs. βI suppose. But the couch is comfy.β He sat up slowly nevertheless, stretching slowly.
"Yes, it is. It's a nice couch," Alison agreed. "Are you going to change your shirt before you go to sleep?"
M looked down at his inky shirt. It was comfy enough.
βWhy would I?β He asked softly.
Alison shrugged and stood, walking over to him and gesturing to the stain. "It's stained. Plus, when was the last time you changed your shirt, dear?"
M looked up at her when she approached, then back down at his shirt.
βErβ¦ Iβ¦ I donβt remember.β He blushed a little.
What is going on? Iβm usually sharper than this!
Alison sighed and cupped his cheek in her hand, gently rubbing it with her thumb. "Are you feeling all right? You're not sick or something?" she asked gently, moving her hand to feel his forehead.
M leaned into her hand, shutting his eyes. βIβm not sure. I might be. Or Iβm just tired. Iβm ready to accept either, honestly.β He moved his head up slightly when she felt his forehead. It felt normal.
"Well, you don't seem to have a fever, so you might just be tired. Come on, let's get you to bed," Alison said softly, holding her hand out for him to take.
M opened his eyes when she removed his hands from his face. He looked at her hands, grabbed them and stood slowly.
βNot all sicknesses has a symptom of a fever. Iβll go talk to someone tomorrow.β
Alison nodded and reached up to kiss his cheek. "I know, dear, but rest always helps. You're more susceptible to illnesses if you don't get enough sleep."
M sighed softly, putting his chin on her head and hunching. βI never have time to do that stuff. I always have cases and work to do.β
"Maybe you should talk to Neo about getting some time off, then," Alison suggested gently as she wrapped her arms around him.
M closed his eyes. βI canβt do that. Thereβs too much I have to do.β
"Your health and wellbeing is much more important than whatever he has for you to do. Just talk to him, I'm sure he'd understand," Alison said, tightening her grip on him as she spoke.
βIβm the only one who can do it,β M protested meekly, not even paying attention to what he was saying anymore.
