He'd been stuck in his own head since he'd entered the apartment so his head snapped up when the other spoke. "Hmm? I mean, yeah, I could. Why?"
He'd been stuck in his own head since he'd entered the apartment so his head snapped up when the other spoke. "Hmm? I mean, yeah, I could. Why?"
He pointed to the picture "One isn't enough." he said, rearranging the flower a bit on the page.
"You're actually using those? Why?"
He shrugged and blushed a bit. "I-it's something I like to add to my drawings. It adds another dimensions, the dried flowers and berries." He pulled out his phone and showed Jay a few pictures. One of a woman with a dress made of dried black rose petals, another of a crown with white berries
He smiled a little. "Those are so pretty. I wish I could draw." His mood lightened a little. He had never seen his impurity as useful. Maybe now he could turn an insecurity into an asset.
He smiled softly "thanks," he flipped the book towards him again and pulled out a black pen, adding a few more details to the drawing. "Can you control it? I kinda want a varietly of the flowers
"I mean yeah. White roses are the most obvious change though." He knelt by his side, watching as he drew.
Raz nodded, capping the pen and tilting his head at the picture. "Does it happen to other things? Like animals or people?"
"Not really. Usually it's only flowers because they're considered pure. The impurity of me because I'm a demon destroys it and it wilts."
"I don't think you're impure…" He muttered softly. He flicked his gaze up towards Jay's and offered a small smile
He blushed pink and smiled. "Thanks. But it's just a part of the job." Plus, if this relationship goes as far as I hope it will, I won't be the only impure one… He shook the idea away and blushed darker at the thought.
Raz dropped his gaze, thinking that Jay's blush was from the compliment. He didn't want to embarrass him. "I'll go find the flowers," he said, standing up and heading to the door
"They should be downstairs. This place keeps a pretty immaculate garden." He tried to keep his thoughts away, not wanting to think about the other in that kind of way while he was still in the room.
Raz nodded "cool, I'll be right back."he smiled at Jay before shutting the door behind him and heading down the stairs to where the garden was outside
He fell onto his back, sighing happily. How on Earth did he meet a guy like Raz?
Raz came back shortly with a bundle of white and pale blue flowers. His arms and hands were red with scratches from the thorn but he had a bright smile on his face. "I found these blue ones too that'll hopefully complement the white ones. He glanced down at Jay and laughed "comfortable?" he asked, sitting down next to him and spreading out the flowers he had gathered
"Quite." He chuckled before sitting up. "You look like you had fun. What'd you do, run through the rose bushes?"
"Kinda. there were these blue ones behind the rosebush and nowhere to get to them other than through the roses so I managed my way through." He held out his arms to look at the scratches and sighed "eh, I'll live."
"I suppose. Now, hand them over and let me do my magic."
Raz nodded and handed him three flowers. "not too much for the first bundle." he said, clustering another bundle of flowers for the next layer
He took the flowers, watching them slowly wilt in his grip. He hated killing flowers, especially white roses since they were his favorite, but now it didn't hurt so much.
Raz nodded and handed over another bundle of flowers. He gently took the rose apart, cradling the petals his hand along with pieces of stem. He set them down carefully on the paper, meticulously placing them in place
He took the next bundle, watching the other work with a soft smile.
After adding a few more flowers he tilted his head and took one of the brighter blue flowers. He smiled softly and set the flower in Jay's hair. "there," he went back to working on the picture, using broken off petals to create a falling effect around the man
He blushed bright red but didn't bother moving the flower. What had he done to meet a guy like Raz?
