Logan nodded. "Of course." He replied with a shrug. Why is she so surprised? Don't humans normally…share? I had heard they did…was i wrong? He wondered.

“Okay, so I’m going to go put the stuff I just got at the store away,” Allie said, turning back around and walking down the hall.
He nodded. "Do you want help?" He asked, watching her go. "Or…do you have something else you want me to do?"
“I don’t have anything for you to do,” she replied with a raise of her eyebrows. “I guess you can help if you want.”
He nodded. "Alright. I'll help, then." He walked over to her, ready to follow her when she started walking again.
Allie turned back around walked to the front room where she had set the bags and picked them up. She went to the kitchen and set them down on the counter. “So most of it just goes in the pantry,” she explained. Most of the items she had gotten were nonperishable food, since almost all electricity generators were down.
Logan nodded. "Alright." He replied, picking them up and setting them in the pantry. He hesitated. "Wait…you dont have any specific organization system, right?" He asked, looking back at her.
“No, definitely not,” she responded with a laugh. “I mean, just look at this place. It’s a disaster.” She got some cans out and placed them in seemingly random spots.
He chuckled softly, and nodded, setting the cans down. "Alright." He grabbed a few more and put them in as well.
It went by quickly with two people, especially since the food supply was so scarce that Allie hadn’t found a lot of cans. “Thank you,” she said. “You didn’t have to help me.” She was softening towards this stranger a bit, but she definitely wasn’t going to sleep much with a stranger in the house. She never did.
Logan nodded, then shrugged. "It's the polite thing to do." He replied, looking at her. "Would you prefer i hadn't helped you?" He asked.
She shrugged. “I honestly don’t know. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I appreciate that you did, but I’m so used to doing things myself…” She trailed off with a faraway look in her eyes. “But whatever. Thanks.”
He nodded. "Mhm." He shrugged slightly. "You're welcome." He chuckled softly. Well, at least i helped her out.
She nodded, her stomach growling. She blushed. “You hungry, Logan?” Allie asked, looking for something to eat.
He chuckled softly. "Yeah, i am, actually." He said with a small, quick smile.
Allie managed to find some canned peaches and black beans. She smiled nervously, unsure what kind of things Logan usually ate. “This is what I usually eat, but you can pick out something else if you like.”
Logan shrugged. "I'm good with whatever, Allie. Thank you." He replied. "Do you want anything of mine? I can grab some."
It was weird hearing someone use her name in a sentence. She definitely wasn’t used to it, so she blinked a couple of times before answering. “If you want.” She shrugged and then took out a pocketknife and got to work opening the cans.
He nodded, then his eyes lit up. "I have chocolate!" He exclaimed. "It's a little squished, but it should still be good." He grinned. "Want some?"
Allie smiled. “If you’re willing to spare some, then of course,” she replied, her eyes widening at the thought of chocolate. It had been so long since she’d last eaten some. “Where did you find it?”
"Erm…a few towns over." He replied as he headed upstairs. He came back after a few minutes with a squished, still wrapped chocolate bar in his hands. "Here we go." He said.
His answer seemed a little bit unsure. Either that was how he talked, he wasn’t sure, or he was lying. This made Allie’s suspicions raise a bit, as she took in the candy bar. It seemed normal enough but she was definitely going to wait for him to take a bit before she ate any. “Wow,” she gasped anyway, taking the bar in. She could feel her mouth water, but she had to be sure it wasn’t some sort of trick. She watched Logan expectantly.
He opened it, splitting it in half abd handing her half. "Here." The chocolate was definitely a bit squished and cracked and broken, but still edible. I really don't want to tell her that I took this off of a dead body. I mean…i didn't kill the guy, but still.
“Thanks,” Allie replied, taking it. She was dying to take a bite, but didn’t show it, pretending like she was just studying it instead of waiting for Logan to eat some first. It wasn’t hard to pretend, since Allie was a bit in awe over something that had used to be so ordinary.
He broke off a piece and ate it, then wrapped it back up. "Im saving the rest for after dinner, despite how much i want it." He chuckled. He had been raised here on Earth; which was strange to the rest of his kind. He acted far more human than they thought he should. Not that he really cared about what they thought.
