Allie shrugged. “I stopped counting after two months,” she admitted. “But since the aliens invaded, I guess. You just seemed upset.” He was definitely hard to read.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He nodded. "The aliens." He muttered, shaking his head. He looked at her. "I wasn't, don't worry." He shrugged slightly. "Just thinking about things." Like how you humans would shoot me on sight.

@MusicElle-is-here

“Oh, okay, of course,” Allie said. He was either acting or she was just projecting her current emotional state onto others. Probably the latter. “The aliens made things…hard for everyone, you know? For lack of a better word.” She sighed. Whatever. If he was human, he would understand.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He hesitated, then nodded. "Yes, i…guess they did." He shrugged slightly, raking a hand through his strange hair. Strange, because of the white strands that had already appeared, despite his youth.

(By the way, how fast do you want her to discover he's an alien?)

@MusicElle-is-here

“You guess?” Allie asked, raising an eyebrow. “Maybe it wasn’t as bad for you, but everyone I know is either dead or missing, and I’m assuming that most of us have it the same way, right?”

(idk i kinda want to wait a bit before that happens and get her to trust him or at least stop being so suspicious of him)

@ElderGod-Icefire

He sighed. "Im an orphan, i didnt have anyone to lose in the first place." He shrugged slightly, looking at her and raking his hand through his hair again. "So. I'm sorry for your losses."

(Alright. Just wanted to check)

@MusicElle-is-here

“Thanks,” Allie said gruffly, putting the gun away but still ready to pull it out at any moment. “So do you have somewhere you’ve living or have you just been wandering?”

@MusicElle-is-here

“Yes,” she said simply. “It’s easier than wandering, and provides shelter from the elements.” She really wanted to just leave now but her stupid conscience was telling her to wait. If this guy didn’t have anywhere to stay, he was vulnerable. But what if he was an alien? She supposed if he wanted her dead, he would’ve already killed her, but she still hesitated. And who knew if he even was honest? She sighed. This train of thought was getting her nowhere. “How do you find shelter?”

@ElderGod-Icefire

(hey, im going to head to bed now, ill reply again tomorrow. Good night!)

He nodded. "I see. I simply…try to move from town to town and sleep in abandoned buildings." He shrugged. "I shall probably do so again tonight." He looked at her for a moment, then turned and scanned around the street.

@MusicElle-is-here

(good night!)

“Oh,” Allie replied, biting her lip. She could offer for him to sleep in the abandoned house she had found, but who knew what he would try? Well, she was a light sleeper and kept her weapons nearby in case of an emergency. She also knew she probably wouldn’t sleep if there was someone else in the house anyway. “Do you…need a place to stay?” She hoped to god that she was making the right decision.

@ElderGod-Icefire

He hesitated. "Uhm…sure." he replied slowly, looking at her carefully. "Where is it?" He asked, cocking his head to one side a little. Is she really just… going to trust me out of hand like that? Interesting…

@MusicElle-is-here

Allie clearly didn’t think this through. I’m an idiot, she sighed inwardly. A real idiot. Thanks a lot, conscience.

She could blindfold him, or better yet, move houses after this. It was time. She had been in the same place for too long. Allie’s strategy was to find a good place to stay and move at random so it was harder to track her.

Allie picked up the stuff she had dropped and gave the boy a look. “I’ll show you,” she replied, her expression neutral. She had been able to play the innocent, naive girl before, so it wasn’t difficult. If there was a sure way to tell if he was an alien, she would just kill him in his sleep, but she had no way to know. Because she still wasn’t sure, she would pack up and leave tonight. Allie wasn’t good at planning things out, and frequently got herself into trouble (thankfully she hadn’t gotten in many bad situations after the alien invasion…yet).

At least now she could kill two birds with one stone: satisfy her conscience and help this random person out, and move house. Hopefully this kid wasn’t a light sleeper.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Logan nodded. "Okay." He was wearing a brown leather messenger bag, which he adjusted as he started walking with her. "I promise I'm not going to hurt you or anything." He added.

@MusicElle-is-here

Yes, like that makes you trustworthy, Allie retorted mentally. But then again, I am the one taking you to my house.

“Good,” she replied aloud, glancing at him as they walked. “It’s not a very far walk.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

He nodded as he walked beside her. "Alright." He replied. He adjusted the bag strap again, and raked a hand through his dark hair anxiously. Shes just going to let me come with her like that? He wondered.

@MusicElle-is-here

Allie was surprised this boy had actually taken her up on her offer, to say the least. He seemed almost as naive as she was acting. It was kind of funny, in a way. After a few minutes, she stopped in front of a house that looked rough, but still better than a lot of the others near it. “We’re here.”

@MusicElle-is-here

“If I was, do you think I’d just admit it?” Allie retorted, walking inside and setting her stuff down. She didn’t plan on murdering him in his sleep, but that didn’t mean she trusted him.

@MusicElle-is-here

Allie walked down a hallway to a bedroom that has probably belonged to a kid, judging by the wallpaper and double bed. Allie herself slept in what she guessed was the spare bedroom. “You can sleep in here,” she said, gesturing to the room. She wondered if he actually thought she planned on killing him. He wasn’t the first person that she’d shared her temporary dwelling with, but she always moved after she’d let anyone know her location. Usually the kids she let stay were younger, but so far she’d been wary and nothing bad was happening…yet.

@MusicElle-is-here

She nodded. “You’re welcome,” Allie replied, turning and walking back to the kitchen area to pack up her stuff. Before she was very far, she turned over her shoulder, “And if you need some food, I can spare a bit.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Logan hesitated, then nodded. "Sure. I have some supplies I'd be willing to share, as well." He said, looking at her. Is she really just going to…trust me like this?

@MusicElle-is-here

“Thanks, that’s nice of you,” she replied, pausing. She hadn’t expected him to offer supplies back. For all he knew, she could’ve brought him here to murder him in his sleep. She was sure the surprise was apparent on her face.
