Aki followed after, quietly giggling into his hand. He stayed behind Lucien since it was the respectful thing to do.

Lucien turned back and looked at him curiously. "What's so funny?" he asked slowly, raising an eyebrow.

"Mmm… Nothing. Sir. Absolutely nothing." He replies as he follows after.

"You know my name, and it isn't sir." Lucien responded as he walked.

"Prince Lucien." He hums as he catches up to the other. "I don't believe I've seen your room." He says happily.

Lucien chuckled. "Yes, that's because not many people have. It isn't exactly a main part of the palace, you know."

"I feel honored to be allowed to see it." He replies with a smirk on his lips, eagerly following after.

Lucien smiled, laughing softly. "Alright. Just be warned it's messy." He led Aki into the royal wing of the palace.

"Sounds like my kind of place." He laughed quietly. "I'm very excited though." He looks around curiously.

Lucien grinned, leading him through the hallways. There were portraits on the walls of various royals from the past, both male and female.

He looked around. "So these are your ancestors?" He asks curiously, his eyes wide with wonder.

Lucien nodded. "Most of them, yeah." Some of the portraits showed the ruler with their spouse. But it was always a king and a queen. Never two of the same gender.

Aki glanced at the portraits before saddening a little. It was most likely that he had no chance whatsoever. Besides, Aki was just a simple magician doing work for the prince and king. He wasn't a prince or someone of noble standing. Besides, Lucien must just see him as a friend. That was normal of course, they had only known each other for a little while.

Lucien sighed softly, eyes lingering on the portraits of couples. Thinking of how many times he had been told that he needed to marry a woman, have an heir. That he could have as many male consorts as he wanted, but his spouse had to be female. He raked a hand through his hair.

He walked beside Lucien. "You look troubled, Prince Lucien. Is something on your mind?" Aki asks gently, his eyes soft as he walked beside the other.

Lucien's eyes flicked to him, and he shook his head. "Yes. I'm fine. It's nothing you need to worry about." he replied, clearing his throat softly and fastening his attention on the hallway again.

Aki nods before hurrying after the other. He hums quietly to himself, his eyes shutting. "There's magic around this place…" he mutters softly. "It's strong…" He whispers.

Lucien glanced at him, hand on the knob to his room. "I…what do you mean?" he asked, cocking his head.

"Around the castle. Magic it's there. But here it grows stronger…" he mutters softly. His eyes search the hallways. "Something… It's not important. I can investigate it later. I need a bath." He laughs quietly.

Lucien frowned slightly, and nodded, opening the door for his room. "Alright." His room was a bit messy, clothes scattered around the room and the covers on the bed unmade.

He chuckles and sighed softly. He looked around and smiles. "I like this. Seems more homey then the castle does." He says softly.

Lucien looked at him, and nodded. He sat down on the bed with a sigh, tossing the crown unceremoniously onto the pillows. "Yeah." He agreed with a small smile. Then he blinked. "Right. Bath." He stood up again, and led Aki over to the bathroom.

Aki followed after and hummed softly, relaxed. He sighed as he entered the room and relaxed and followed after him to go to the bathroom. "Wow… this place is as big as my house…" He laughs.

Lucien chuckled softly. "Mm." he opened the door to the bathroom. "Uh…fresh towels are in the cupboard." he said.

Aki nods in thanks before pouting a little. "As I recall.. I thought you were going to join me?" He asks curiously, a small smirk on his lips.
