Mia laughed some, looking down at Simon as best she could.
"You sure did seem to enjoy getting that massage," she teased gently, "From a god you've just met."
Mia laughed some, looking down at Simon as best she could.
"You sure did seem to enjoy getting that massage," she teased gently, "From a god you've just met."
“Leave me alone!!” He whined, very quickly getting more embarrassed. “He was just trying to be nice!” He protested.
"The cuddling was just him being nice too? And the nap?" Mia kept her tone light, so Simon knew she was playing. Still, in reality, she was scared for him. She had no idea what Astral had planned…
“Y-yes?” He offered weakly, knowing it even sounded like a lame excuse to him. “Whateverrrrrr!!”
Mia chuckled some again, and she would have shaken her head if she could have.
"And the breakfast in bed?" She laughed again, her smile felt warmly in the room.
Simon whined quietly, not having a good response, knowing she was most definitely right.
Mia's laughter died off softly.
"As long as you're happy," she said, "It'll be fine. Just try not to get too caught up in all of this, okay? He is still a god."
“Okay I won’t.” He replied, most likely going to ignore it just as much as he’d ignored it the first time. He leaned over, picking her up off the counter.
"Thank you." Mia knew Simon wouldn't do much with it at all, but he at least knew she wanted him to. She rested in his hands, letting out a soft breath.
"Did you sleep good?"
“Mhm.” He nodded, getting comfortable back in bed again. “A lot better than I’ve slept in awhile.”
"That's good, then," Mia said. She'd stop with the teasing, for now. She fell quiet, thinking.
(Okay, you know that thing Astral did to Mia in the other one? What if something did accidentally happen to her to cause that while she was with Simon, and Simon's freaking out and goes to Astral for help but even Mia admits he didn't do it?)
Simon nodded, smiling softly as he held Mia in his cupped hands.
((Oop- I mean we could but would Astral be able to fix her?))
(Oh yeah for sure aha)
"You seem really happy here," Mia finally said, still smiling. How long would it last?
Forever, hopefully.
“I am. It’s nice here, at least so far.” It was a lot different from how his life normally worked, thats for sure.
Well, being taken up to a god's palace and making friends with a porcelain trinket after getting a massage from said god isn't the most normal of things.
"That's good, then," Mia agreed.
Yes it certainly wasn’t the most normal of things if one really took the time to think about it. But Simon hadn’t yet, mostly to avoid getting overwhelmed. “Mhm…a lot nicer than things normally are.” Most of the time, the people he lived with were the reason he was so tense, not the ones trying to fix it.
(Me, sitting here, trying to figure out a way to gently tell Simon what Astral's work is without him fearing the god: ;w;)
(Like, even with Astral being super nice and genuinely caring, his work is still, ah, pretty fucked up lol)
"That is good to hear, at least." Mia offered a small smile again. She didn't know how bad things were before, but she truly did hope they would stay better.
((Oof. I think it’d go over a lot better if it really seemed like Astral didn’t like what he had to do))
Well Simon wasn’t waking up covered with bruises and cuts so on the daily so that was definitely an improvement. “Yeah it really is.” He replied, smiling softly. He felt a lot safer here.
(Oh yeah for sure)
No, he was waking up to breakfast in bed and a massage. He was going to do just fine here, wasn't he?
"He's quite the god, isn't he?"
Yes, yes he would. Hopefully Simon would be able to make Astral feel as happy as he did. “Yes…I guess you could say that.”
Mia chuckled faintly.
"It's why he has so many worshipers on Earth." The manipulation and lies.
“Oh yeah that makes sense. How many people do you think worship him?” After all he’d never heard of the god before coming here.
"A lot," Mia said with a soft chuckle. "He has the most of all the gods."
“Oh jeez, that’s pretty crazy.” He chuckled softly. “Just….wow…”
"Yeah… He's quite the charmer." Mia chuckled some. Hopefully, her wording would get Simon to think Astral did this with everyone, that he didn't mean anything special. It would be better.
