"Okay!" Astral grabbed Simon's ranch choice, getting poppy seed for himself. He came back over, the ranches tucked against his chest with one arm as he grabbed the plates.
"Could you please carry the salad over to the table?" He asked sweetly.
“Yeah I can do that.” He said with a smile before picking up the big bowl, carrying it over.
"Thank you!" Astral led the way back to the table, careful of Mia as he set the plates and dressings down. He took his own seat, next to Simon's instead of the other side of the table.
Simon set the salad down, also being careful of Mia. Once his hands were free, he picked her up so she was more out of the way of everything happening.
Astral hummed some, looking over.
"You're being very careful with the trinket," he said, smiling a bit as he started to eat. He didn't seem upset at all, which was good.
He shrugged. “Well I like it, and I just don’t want anything to accidentally happen to it if I’m not careful.” Simon explained before beginning to eat as well.
"Mm." Most people didn't constantly carry around trinkets they liked. Astral didn't say anything else, but he was beginning to suspect.
Simon had no idea that Astral was catching on, so he wasn’t too worried. He ate quietly, a soft smile on his face.
Astral was smiling a well, eating.
"You did really good with the salad, thank you," the god noted, smiling sweetly at Simon then.
Simon blushed softly, his eyes focusing on his food. “It was nothing, really, all I did was mix everything together.”
"You also got the lettuce ready," Astral pointed out, smiling. "And that's the main part of the salad." He chuckled softly, gently nudging Simon's shoulder with his elbow in a playful manner.
“That’s true.” He laughed softly along with Astral. He looked up at the other, smiling some.
Astral was more than happy to smile back, taking a bite of the salad. He looked rather pleased, eating this meal with Simon. He didn't want to leave.
Simon had to admit he’d be very sad when it was time for the god to leave again. Of course he’d do his best to hide it, both so it wouldn’t make Astral feel bad and so Mia wouldn’t have more to tease him about.
If Simon asked, Astral would take the rest of the day off. Recycling souls… it didn’t feel the same anymore. He didn't find any enjoyment in it.
The god finished eating, letting out a content hum.
Simon most likely wouldn’t ask just because he wouldn’t want to bother him. Simon was still working on finishing up the food on his plate.
((Poor Mia is gonna be so frustrated with Simon by the time he gets together with Astral XD ))
(Mia, not sure whether to be frustrated because Simon isn't being cautious or because he's so oblivious: )
Astral offered a sweet smile when he saw Simon was still eating what he had left, encouraging him. He hummed softly, waiting to clean up until Simon was done so he wouldn't feel pressured.
((Mia’s so done with everyone’s shit XD))
Simon ate a bit more than he did that morning but still didn’t finish the whole meal.
(She really is aha)
"Done?" Astral tentatively asked when it seemed like Simon had finished completely. He wanted to make sure, standing up.
Simon nodded, standing up and grabbing his plate to go help clean up. He was proud of himself. But he doubted he’d be able to eat dinner tonight.
Astral didn't know that, and if needed he was willing to wait until far into the night to have a small meal with Simon, even if just an excuse to be around him more. He figured the nap would be a one-time thing, or only on occasion; not actually every night. He'd like it to be! But it didn't seem to be the case. Astral hummed some, cleaning up the table and carrying the items he had grabbed over to put away and clean.
Simon carried his plate over into the kitchen, managing to set it on the counter before dragging his stool over so he could help with dishes.
Astral hummed a soft tune as they started their work similarly to the day before. He looked over at Simon, smiling some as he washed one of the plates.
"So, what do you think you'll do for the rest of the day?"
Simon shrugged as he grabbed the dish towel. “I don’t know really.” He replied, looking up at Astral after he spoke. “I was just gonna figure something out I guess.”
