“Okay I won’t!” He promised before literally taking off, going to look at everything. Astral could probably hear him giggling as he did so. But Simon made sure not to drop Mia.

((I just realized Astral doesn’t even know about any of the stuff that happened to Simon on earth yet. But he will actually get to hear the whole story about Evan at some point.))
(Ah heck he doesn't, does he? This is going to be a thing aha. At least he isn't going to get extremely jealous, clingy, and possessive in this one lol)
Astral chuckled as Simon took off, walking through a few rows to find a certain book that literally had his name on it. He figured it wouldn't be best for Simon to see what he had been thinking before because we're going to speed run him being nice because FLUFF.
Ahem. I mean.
Mia would have closed her eyes as Simon took off, letting out a small squeak as he did. She was glad for his attention to making sure she was okay, but she didn't have the best memories of seeing other trinkets being thrown, and this felt very similar at times.
((Yeeeee but I mean….if Astral still does go murder the guy….that would be a good time for him to meet Alec and Emile lmao oof true))
“It’s okay, I won’t let go of you.” Simon reassured quietly before slowing down, stopping in a random row and beginning to browse.
(Oh he totally goes to murder the guy, if not actually bring him back. It'd be a good time for that for sure aha)
"Thank you…" Mia kept her voice as soft as she could, just in case. She didn't trust Astral at all. The god in question was a few rows away, pulling his Book down and holding it in his arms. He'd need to find a secure place for it. Normally, he didn't bother, seeing as the other gods wouldn't dare touch it, but he didn't want Simon to be freaked out.
All the books just looked so beautiful to him, and he strolled casually down the aisle, humming softly as he did so, trying to look at all of them. He couldn’t decide where to even begin, there were just so many.
It was hard indeed, when one's choices were everything. Astral opened a cabinet on the end of one of the aisles, putting his book inside before closing it. There, it looked like there wasn't anything there at all other than wood. The god hummed, walking again idly.
Simon eventually decided on one in that aisle, gently taking it off the shelf and sitting down right there on the floor, not wanting to forget where he’d gotten it from.
Astral continued to wander, eventually coming to the aisle Simon was in. He smiled a bit, walking over before gracefully sitting down next to the man.
"Having fun?" He asked, still smiling.
Simon nodded, looking up from his book to smile at the god. “Yes I really am! Thank you for showing me this!” He replied happily.
"You're welcome!" Astral smiled back, chuckling some. "I'm to take it you won't want to leave this place for a while?"
He shrugged. “I can always come back while you’re working if we want to go look at some other places before then.” He said, not wanting Astral to get bored while he was reading.
"Well, it's your choice really," Astral said after a moment of thinking. "I'm good with staying here or going to another room if you'd like."
“Ummm let’s go to another room and I’ll just come back later.” He said with a smile after thinking it over.
"Okay!" Astral moved to stand, offering his hands to Simon to help him up. "Any room, in particular, you'd like to see next?"
He shook his head, picking up Mia and the book before taking Astral’s offered hand with his free one. “Not really, I’ll go wherever you want.”
Astral nodded, thinking a moment.
"Well, what about the gardens?" Astral hummed, letting Simon walk next to him this time instead of scooping him up.
“That sounds nice.” He smiled over at Astral. He honestly might’ve liked it if Astral had carried him again, but for now he was content to just hold onto the god’s hand.
Astral didn't want to push too much physical contact on Simon, though, so it might be a bit before he did it again.
"Good! They're this way." Astral hummed in content, leading Simon out of the library and back to the halls.
Simon again tried to remember where they were going so he could go back later when Astral was busy.
The way to the garden was thankfully not that confusing from the library. Two lefts and a right before Astral stopped in front of the door. He opened it, taking a small breath of air.
"These are the gardens," he said, smiling. "Careful not to touch the water in the stream though, it can be dangerous for mortals."
“Okay I won’t.” He said before looking around, just as awestruck as when in the library. “Wow….it’s so beautiful in here…”
Astral smiled some at Simon's reactions to the room.
"I'm glad you like it! I've taken a lot of time to care for it." The god let go of Simon's hand for a moment, walking in.
“You don’t seem like the type of guy that would garden.” He teased gently. Unlike the library though, he stayed close by Astral’s side.
Astral chuckled softly.
"I find it… cathartic." The trees, the flowers, even the grass- all carefully tended to. His favorite souls.
