((AU Astral would be so upset lmao meanwhile regular Astral is just like “oh I see you’ve finally come to your senses”))
Simon headed back to Astral’s room, closing the door quietly behind him. He lay down on the bed with a content sigh, a goofy smile on his face.
((Astral that’s kinda gay bro))
(AU Astral kicking Astral's ass–)
Astral, now that he was sure Simon wasn't anywhere near him, rubbed roughly at his eyes with the heels of his hand.
"What's going on..?" He mumbled to himself. Mia looked up when Simon came in, and she would have raised an eyebrow if she could have.
"Why so happy?"
(Astral that's hella gay bro-)
((y e s))
He shrugged. “Just had a nice time I suppose.” He said, still having a wide smile on his face.
((Astral wanting to touch people is very very gay))
(AU Simon is just like, so concerned for Simon, and Simon's just very confused why a much nicer Astral is kicking the god's ass)
"Oh?" Mia was surprised Astral hadn't tried anything, with good reason. She'd watched as he'd slammed Simon's head against the wall until he was a bloody pulp.
(Astral wanting to touch people is very very worrying)
((It’d be so much fun lmao))
“Yeah it was just….nice.” He smiled, just looking like a love struck dummy. Because ya know…he was.
((Yes it normally is very very worrying))
((AU Astral knowing how much of an ass he usually is and is just like “oh fuck- where’s my boyfriend?”))
(pfffffff yes)
Mia was… a bit worried for Simon. He hadn't been hurt, though, so she didn't do anything about it.
"Nice? It looks like it was just a bit more than nice."
“Oh hush.” He said teasingly, laughing softly, his hands going to cover his face some. He did seem very happy from his time with Astral.
Mia pushed out a chuckle, hiding the fact she was terrified for Simon at this point. Who knew what Astral would do if he found out Simon was falling for him?
Of course, the god was currently having a crisis in the living room, but they didn't know that.
“He’s just a nice guy, that’s all, I swear.” He countered, knowing Mia didn’t believe him. But I mean, who would believe him with how he was acting. Simon sat up in bed some to look over at her.
"A nice guy who's turning you red," Mia pointed out as soon as she could see Simon properly from her spot on the table.
"Just be careful, yeah? He is a god, after all."
“Yeah yeah….I’ll be careful I promise.” Simon reassured, leaning over to pick her up from off the counter.
"Thank you. He can be… fickle, at times." If 'fickle' meant often going on murderous rampages and torturing people until they broke before turning them into decorations. Mia was warm in Simon's hand, as usual, a small smile more felt than seen coming from her.
He nodded. “I see…well I’ll try to keep that in mind then.” It made him feel better when he felt her smile, and he smiled right back at her. “Anyway….I guess I should be headed to bed soon. But we can stay up for a bit if you want.”
"I think it's time you go to sleep," Mia agreed. "It's late, and was before you went for dinner." The trinket chuckled, content for now. Hopefully Astral wouldn't be coming in later to try anything.
Simon nodded, gently setting her back on the nightstand. “Okay…goodnight then.” He turned off the lights before getting into bed.
"Goodnight," Mia echoed. She settled down for the night where she was sat, intent on watching over Simon.
By now, though, Astral had passed out- er, fallen asleep, after his little existential crisis.
Simon fell asleep rather quickly, buried under a pile of blankets. Thank god his ribs were actually getting a chance to heal some while he did so, he’d had his binder off all day.
((potential future fluff of Astral monitoring Simon’s binder usage and being like “Sy It’s been 8 hours, come on.” 👀?))
(Awww, yes)
(He goes out of his way to tell Simon how handsome he looks and just, very masc compliments when he sees Simon's struggling)
Astral was up first in the morning, sitting up and stretching. He'd need to find himself a proper bed soon, he was starting to get a bit of back pain from sleeping on the couch. He let out a soft grumble. He doubted Simon would be okay with him returning to his own bed any time soon.
((awwwwwww yessssssss))
Simon would of course move if Astral wanted him to, as long as he didn’t have to sleep in the living room. But until then, he’d stay perfectly comfortable in Astral’s room.
(Astral is honestly going to be so supportive here and feel so bad about the misgendering that first night ;-;)
Astral sighed, moving to the kitchen to get cooking. He'd make something light, see if Simon wasn't finishing his food because he was full or if it was more leaning towards psychological.
And have a mini freak out that he actually cared about these things.
((that’s good, Astral better overcompensate for that lmao))
It was indeed more psychological, as Astral would find out. Simon of course wasn’t planning on telling Astral about it, but if the god asked, that’d be a different story.
(oh totally aha)
Astral would, when he noticed. He set about making breakfast, setting it out before going to knock on Simon's door.
"Good morning!" He said softly, in case Simon was up.
Simon was actually still asleep, at least partially. He stirred when he heard Astral at the door, sitting up and blinking tiredly. “Mornin…” he called back, yawning.
"Is it alright if I come in?" Astral asked, hand on the knob. "Breakfast is ready." Astral was doing his best to act civil, and it was freaking him out that he wanted to. No, no, if this kept up he was dropping the act and just treating Simon the way he had the others.
We all know it was too late for him to really try that, though. He was already too far gone.
“Yeah that’s perfectly fine.” He responded, automatically feeling bad that Astral had gone through the effort for him. “You didn’t have to make breakfast for me, but thank you for doing so.”
Astral opened the door, smiling some.
"It's perfectly alright," he assured, moving to be sitting with Simon on the side of the bed. "I enjoyed making it."
He nodded, that seemed to make him feel a bit better. “I’m glad…I wouldn’t want to give you too much trouble.” He smiled over at the god. “How did you sleep?”
"I slept well," Astral lied. He smiled in turn, especially when he saw that Simon was feeling better about this.
"And it's no trouble at all, really. You're my guest."
“Okay, as long as you don’t mind.” He said, carefully taking the plate from the god and beginning to eat.
