Anah bit her lip. "So how am I supposed to start?"
Anah bit her lip. "So how am I supposed to start?"
"How about…. Ice cubes," Elina said. "They're small."
"You want me to make ice cubes?" Anah asked, feeling the power in her hands immediately flow to the tips of her fingers.
"Yeah. They're small, and cubed, and adorable."
Anah slowly raised her hands. She began to visualize the cubed shape when suddenly a burst of power flooded through her and she froze a huge chunk of spiky ice to the ground. "That's not small… not cubed… and definitely not adorable."
Elina picked the ice up by the spikes. "I don't know, it's kinda cute. Just think smaller. Use less power, maybe?"
Anah nodded. She tried to focus her energy again.
Elina looked at her sister. Is that what I looked like when I was learning?
Anah managed a slightly smaller spiky ice chunk. She sighed. "It's useless," she sighed.
"No, it's not." Elina picked up the new ice and held it next to the older one. "Look. This one is smaller and less spiky. That's better."
Anah nodded slowly. She raised her hands and tried again.
Elina looked away. She felt like Anah was having trouble because she was staring.
Anah blasted a small ice cube onto the pavement. It was very uneven and disoriented-looking, but it was an ice cube.
Elina crushed Anah in a hug. "You did it!"
Anah shrieked in surprise and hugged Elina back. "I did!"
"Granted, it's not a perfect… But it's an ice cube!"
Anah smiled. "I did it," she repeated, quieter to herself.
"You did. I'm proud of you, Anah."
Anah looked at Elina, looking at her. Really looking at her. "When did you get so tall?" she asked, pulling her into another hug.
"About… 30 minutes ago. When I put on my boots to come and get you," Elina laughed, showing Anah her heeled boots.
"And your eyes," Anah continued. "And your hair… oh, I missed you so much, Elina."
(Imma stalk!)
(Coolio! ;D)
(Lol)
Elina's aqua eyes started to glisten with tears. "I'm so sorry about what happened."
