Andrea nodded again, slightly impressed, “Wow, a whole year of planning?” She asked, more to herself than him.
Andrea nodded again, slightly impressed, “Wow, a whole year of planning?” She asked, more to herself than him.
"Yeah," he said with another of his reckless grins. "I didn't plan it alone, but plans change I guess."
“Who’d you plan it with, if you don’t mind me asking?” She looked to him, knowing she hadn’t seen anyone else with him when they had met.
His mouth twisted and he ran a hand through his curls. "My sister. She chickened out last minute, but I think someday she'll join me."
Andrea nodded, “Well, I can be her replacement until she joins you, if that’s alright with you.”
He smiled, finally looking back at her. "Sounds like a plan, although I find you much too pretty to think of you as a sister." His smile became cheeky as he slipped back into his over the top flirting.
Her cheeks flushed and she smiled, “Then think of me as a friend.” She looked out over the water again before turning and looking at the boat, resting backwards against the railing.
(what do you think should happen next?)
(Whatever you want, the captain could come out of his cabin and say something, or some of the other crew members could wander over, or if you have any ideas those could work too)
(hmm okay i mean it's up to you since its your roleplay lol. which do you prefer?)
(Urm probably the crew members thing)
(okay)
A large man suddenly appeared behind them, clasping them both by the shoulders. "Hello, kids. Welcome aboard the Silver Lady."
Andrea squeaked, forgetting she was supposed to be a guy for a fraction of a second before it came back to her, “Er..thanks.”
He leaned down closer to her, peering at her with squinting eyes. "I'm the first mate. The captain just informed me that I supposedly hired a new member. Now we've got two new members…and I didn't hire either one." His tone became dangerous. Daso stiffened, realizing his mistake.
She shifted her feet around and did her best to avoid his gaze, “Well, I’ve been here this whole time, think you’re looking for someone else mate,” She lied, looking to Daso for help.
Daso nodded. "Yeah, we just met. I suppose there was some kind of confusion. Someone claiming to be the first mate let me on the ship."
The first mate scowled. "Really now? I'm going to ask around, but if I find ye both to be lyin…well, I'll have the cabin boy polish the plank nice and good for ya."
She nodded and looked around, pretending to be finding whoever had let them on, “Alrighty mate, you do that.”
Daso nodded his agreement. "Yeah, it's no difference to me."
The first mate stormed away, scowling deeply.
“That, was close.” She breathed a sigh of relief as he stormed off and relaxed against the railing again, “How are we going to get out of that one? He’s gonna find us out and everything is going to be over with.”
Daso ran a hand through his curls, trying to think. "Well, I knew the lie wouldn't last forever. I hoped it would last longer, though…"
Andrea was silent, her mind spinning with what could happen to them if they were caught and a billion other thoughts. She leaned against the railing more and just looked down at the deck of the ship.
"Maybe we should come clean to the captain," he said suddenly. "He seems nicer than the first mate."
She looked over at him with a slightly surprise look and shook her head, “No, if they find out that I’m a girl, things won’t end well. The captain does seem nicer, but not nice enough to let both of us stay on the ship if we tell him.”
"We don't have to tell him that you're a girl," he said, still trying to figure it out. "But if the first mate finds us out, he's definitely going to throw us overboard."
“What are we going to tell him then? I can say I’m a boy and everything, but what’s going to stop him from tossing us off the ship since we snuck aboard?” She rested her head in her arms and sighed, knowing she was overthinking things but not doing anything to calm her mind down.
