I dunno, like the title says, I’m bored. I’m kinda craving a fantasy romance thing atm, sooooo Yeah. I’d prefer to have this be with someone who is active quite a lot and I don’t already have a one on one with, and I’d like the romance to be straight (I have a girl character I want to throw in here)
Rules, since I guess I gotta have these:
-Andrews rules apply always (duh)
-please post more than one word or just your character saying something with nothing else included, it’s a big pet peeve of mine
-Swearing is fine with me
-Since this is a fantasy, idk how much violence or any of that there’s going to be so be ready for that and also if there are any smut scenes or anything like that we’ll take it to the PMs
-please ask before joining, and I may say no (it doesn’t mean I have anything against you, I might just want to rp with someone new)
-abbreviations are fine if we’re just talking but please don’t put them the actual rp
-Please read all rules before asking to join
-uhhhhh….I might add more rules if I think of anything else
I can post a template if someone joins and wants me too
(Hi, can I join? I don't write smut though fair warning)
(Sure :) I don’t think we have a one on one together already, also you’re fine with being the guy?)
(Yep sounds great! Could you post your character first? I'm trying to decide which character to use between three different guy characters right now)
(Sure! Give me a minute though I’m on my phone and it takes a while to post characters from here)
(Also, any plot ideas for this thing or should we just wing it? I have no ideas whatsoever)
Name: Andrea Knight
Age: 17, though her 18th birthday is coming up in a few weeks
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Personality: Andrea is quite an interesting girl, she’s very quiet when she first meets new people though once she knows you she will open up to be a bubbly and happy girl. She is a hopeless romantic and is quite prone to zoning out into her mind if she’s bored. She loves to create stories in her mind and also likes to draw. Insomniac to the core, she tends to be up all the time and runs mostly on whatever few hours or minutes of sleep she gets in the day. I’ll show more of what she’s like in the rp (I’m terrible at explaining personalities)
Appearance: she has beautiful olive skin and straight black hair to go with it. Her eyes are a deep brown color, though they can shine almost golden in the light. She’s built like a runner, with longer legs, a lean body, and not much upper body strength at all. Standing at 5’6’ she’s decently tall, though she wishes she was taller
Clothing style: whatever she can find that fits, though she tends to wear comfortable clothes that she can work in and not worry about getting dirty
Dislikes: people who yell, having to have a set sleeping schedule, not knowing who her real parents are
Other: Andrea was adopted in from the streets by a gay couple (they aren’t legally married though) and she has no clue who her real parents are
(Hmm I'm not sure. What type of fantasy were you thinking?)
Name: Daso Argen
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Pansexual
Personality: Showy and flirty, overdramatic to hide insecurities, wants to experience life, makes jokes a lot (both good and bad), caring, kind, and compassionate. Can be serious when the situation calls for it, and he has a lot of empathy. A huge pushover. A self-doubting narcissist, desperate to please, terrible at talking about his own emotions, secretive, distant in an unusual way where he seems like he's opening up and talking a lot, but if you really listen, he's not saying much at all. Very sensitive, sweet, and innocent.
Appearance: Multiracial, mostly Black and Hispanic. Has dark brown, wild corkscrew curls, soft grayish eyes, medium skin with gold undertones, tall, with broad shoulders, but quite thin and wiry. A small amount of muscle definition, especially on his legs. Skinny ankles and wrists. Well-defined jawline. Slightly crooked teeth, especially his bottom teeth. He has a gap between his two front teeth. Has a small tattoo on his right wrist of an infinity symbol; his sister has the same one on the opposite wrist.
Clothing style: Mostly 80s and 90s wear, like https://www.pinterest.com/pin/524669425335051493/. Not afraid of bold patterns and colors.
Dislikes: Overly religious people, hypocrites, things that remind him of his past, being still, being bored, feeling restless/anxious, his parents
Other: Loves to cook. Wears a bracelet his twin sister made for him when they were kids.
(Maybe a romantic and heroic fantasy mix? Something along those lines?)
(so like, high fantasy or urban fantasy or?)
(High fantasy preferably)
(Sure :) That sounds good, any plot ideas in the pirate range that interest you or should I just post a starter and we can go from there?)
(we could have our characters be stowaways who run into each other when they're trying to hide on a pirate ship)
(Ohhh that sounds fun :) I’m fine with that and I’ll post a starter in about half an hour, I gotta go on a run quick)
(I’m back, the run took longer than I thought though, sry)
Andrea sighed silently, her gaze traveling from the shirt she saw repairing to the ships that were docked a little ways away. It was all she could do to not spring up from the wooden crate she was sitting on and run to the docks and a boat that could take her away from this terrible job and city. Shaking her head, she looked back down at the old shirt and lined up the patch it needed with the giant hole in the back, her attention already drifting away from the ships and into her imagination as she started to sew.
Tucking his hands in his pockets, Daso strolled along the street. He glanced over his shoulder once and a while, trying not to appear terrified that someone would find him out. He'd left home just a few hours ago. No one would notice he was missing until this evening. He neared the docks, a crooked-toothed grin lighting up his face. All he needed to do was find a suitable ride, find a good hiding place on said ship, and he'd be home free. Now, which ship should he choose? He sat down on a wooden crate to think, not noticing the girl sitting nearby, sewing a shirt.
The shirt didn’t take nearly long enough to finish and she soon snapped back out of her imagination when she poked her finger with the needle. She silently cursed, scowling at the pin as she tied off the thread and put it to the side to fold the shirt and gain a few more coins in payment. Her eyes didn’t even register that there was someone next to her as she stood up and looked around for the man who had given her the shirt to fix, finding him near one of the bigger and obviously pirate ships in the docks. “Grab some food, get the money for this and get out of here,” She muttered to herself, turning back towards the rest of the city and a vendor selling fruit.
Daso's gaze lazily followed the girl with the shirt. His eyes drifted behind her. Of course, he should stow away on a pirate ship! They'd be less likely to find him, although at the same time they may be more likely to kill him. It was tough to decide. He inspected each pirate ship's sails. He didn't recognize any of the symbols.
Andrea smiled when she got up to the vendor, haggling with him and eventually settling on a few apples. She dropped the last of her coins in his hand and smiled, taking the fruit and turning back to the dock with the man who had given her the shirt. Careful to not run into anyone, she headed over to him, tapping him on the shoulder gently to try to get his attention.
Daso headed over to the docks, keeping his bag squeezed close to his side. He wasn't sure how safe he was. He was completely unarmed and he'd never been this far alone, even though he'd just turned 18. In his haste, he didn't notice the girl with the shiet until he'd run into her. "Sorry!" he managed.
She squeaked when she was ran into, colliding with the man in front of her. Andrea quickly stepped away from the Now quite angry looking man and hurriedly tried to apologize, “Sorry sir, it was an accident, here’s the shirt,” She said quickly, pushing the shirt into his hands.
“Watch where your stepping,” He growled, taking the shirt from her before turning back towards the city, “I don’t think you’d want to anger me more than I already am. And stay out of my way next time.”
She nodded quickly and backed up, turning to face the boy who had run into her so she didn’t have to watch the man stride back in towards the city, “It’s alright, though I did loose my pay for that.”
"I'm so sorry!" he said, frantically rummaging through his satchel. "Here, how much were you supposed to be paid? That guy's so rude. I can pay you."
“No, no it’s fine,” She assured him, “It was only a few coins, nothing major, you can keep your money.” Andrea straightened out her shirt as she talked, only glancing up at him for a moment when she had smoothed it out more than enough.
Daso retrieved several coins, holding them out to her with a crooked grin. "I insist, if not for my mistake, then for the pleasure of meeting you."
