Crystal nodded solemnly. "Indeed. So has everyone here. Evelyn's can be bad too. He'll be okay here." She said with a smile, and sipped her tea some more. "I wonder what the boys are up too."
Evan had begun to shake and sunk to the ground, still shaking. "It's…it's fine." He had a lot of bad sexual experiences so things like that we're major triggers, especially when unexpected.
"That's good, thank you," Hinata said. She let out a soft sigh, taking another sip of the tea.
"I have a feeling I can trust you to take care of Fun."
"No, it's not," Fun said quietly. He knelt down, giving Evan space. He knew what this was. He knew it was his fault.
"I'm so sorry, Evan," Fun said quietly.
Crystal nodded. "Indeed, I am well trained in the ways of tragedy and trauma. Evelyn and Evans are the worst here truth be told. But he will get all the care he needs. Does he take any medication or have any allergies? I need to know for when bedtime rolls around and food is served." Suddenly Crystal got a text.
Evan had begun to breath faster and shake. more. He then texted his mom. 'Come down, mental breakdown. Early days. Help.' He then tried to take deep breaths.
Hinata had been reaching into the bag she brought to pull out Fun's medication when Crystal got the text.
"Is something wrong?" She asked.
Fun watched Evan, biting his lip. This was all his fault. He'd been a fucking idiot, and now he'd hurt Evan. Why did this always happen? Why did he end up hurting everyone?
"Evans having a mental break down." She got up and ran down the stairs, and hugged him close while rubbing his back as he began to choke up a bit and a few tears rolled down his cheek. "Shhh…shhh…it's okay. Breath. You're safe here Evan no one is going to hurt you dear. You're alright… you're alright." She sat on the ground and rocked him while hugging him as he gripped her.
Hinata made her way down as well, checking on Fun. Fun looked up as the two women came down, biting his lip again.
"'M sorry," he said quietly, trying to to freak out. "I'm s-sorry, it's m-my fault."
Crystal sighed as Evan slowly began to calm down. "You're home Evan dearest, you're home. And dearest it's alright. Don't be afraid." She sighed. "Learn from this experience. Evan and Evelyn both have quite a bit of sexual triggers so that's not something I'd launch on him. Taking it slow, talking out triggers, boundaries, stuff like that. Though I am a strong believer in the rule of no sex till the third date, I won't control the pace you move at."
Evan eventually got out of Crystal's arms, wiping away at his tears as he stood up shakily. "I'm gonna go to my room…" He said quietly, and then stumbled up the basement stairs and then to his actual room, curling up beneath the blankets, hugging a stuffed animal and trying to relax a bit. He hated that he had so many triggers. People left him a lot of the time for how sensitive he is, how careful and fragile people had to be with him.
"Yes ma'am," Fun said quietly. He stood slowly, leaning against his own mother.
"Are we sure it's still a good idea for you to stay the night?" Hinata asked softly. She rubbed Fun's back, knowing how guilty he felt. Fun didn't want to hurt Evan anymore, for sure. He'd… they'd definitely talk about triggers later. He wanted Evan to be safe.
Crystal looked at Fun and sighed. "It's okay dear. Take all the time you need. He'll be alright, just needs some time. Evan's strong. Stronger than you think he is, he just has…problems." She shook her head solmnely and headed upstairs to the kitchen, and opened the back door to let the large black pitbull in. "Cmere Shadow! Inside! Go see Evan!" The dog barked and padded upstairs, nosing open Evan's cracked door and crawling onto his bed, snuggling into his arms. Evan hugged the dog close with a smile as it slobbered all over his face, slowly making him laugh and giggle as he kissed it's cold nose. "Thanks Shadow."
Fun stayed leaning against his mother a moment more, then pulled away.
"I can handle staying," he confirmed. He… he wanted to apologize it Evan later. Hinata nodded, handing over his night bag.
"You can call me if you need me," she said. Both of them headed upstairs.
Crystal was putting food in the dog bowl and more water, then turned around with a smile. "It was a delight meeting you Hinata. Feel free to drop by again dearest. And Fun, don't fret so much. He'll be okay. Do you need anything dear? A cup of tea, something to eat?" She said this with heavy concern, looking at Fun with her deep green eyes.
Hinata nodded, looking at Fun one last time. She gave him his night bag.
"Do hesitant to call me if you need me," she said to him. Fun nodded.
"Thank you." Hinata finally left then. Fun turned to Crystal.
"I'm okay," he said, doing his best to keep himself together.
Crystal eyed Fun and shook her head. "We have very different definitions of okay, little rosebud. Please make yourself at home, and go drop your items off in Evans room. He's snuggling his dog right now." There was a very loud meowing at the door. "And Motza, or Mozzart, is waiting at the door. Go on then. Make sure he's alright. I have house cleaning to do."
"Ah, yes ma'am," Fun said. He took off for Evan's room, holding his bag in one hand. He hesitated a bit when he got to the door.
"Evan," he called out softly. "Is it alright if I come in?" He fiddled with his bag strap a little. God, he still felt so guilty about what had happened in the basement. He… He wanted to know how Evan was doing now, more than anything.
"Shadow quit that…quiiit!" He giggled shoving his dogs face away before he was completely drowned in dog slobber. "Come in Fun." He said with a bit of a stand offish voice, right before the dog tried to lick his face again. "Shadow! I saw you eating dog poop earlier so quit licking me!" He then sat up and started to give the dog belly rubs as the dog lay down and started wagging his tail and kicking his legs. "Whose a good puppy dog? Huh? Is it you?" He continued to baby talk the dog while giving him luvins.
Fun stepped into the room quietly. At least Evan seemed to be doing better. And he had every right to be like that with Fun, after what had happened. Besides, they hadn't know each other for very long at all, and he wouldn't be surprised if anything they had before had been lost. He held his bag in his hand, hesitate to set it down.
"I can still leave, if you want me to." He'd done something bad, he'd hurt Evan. He kept his head down, like he had so many times before. He hated it, hated being subservient, but that's what you did when you misbehaved, and you prayed to whatever god was listening that you weren't hurt too much, or… Or killed.
Evan got up, and grabbed Fun's bag, then plopped it by his closet. He then walked over and held his arms out for a hug. "It's okay. I forgive you. You didn't know that it was a trigger, it's just a learning experience. Good to know for next time and that's too taking things really slow with me, sexually wise." He then smiled softly, knowing that they both needed comforting.
Fun nodded a little. So… He wasn't going to be hurt? He took a step forward, accepting the hug gratefully. He wrapped his own arms around Evan, keeping close.
"Okay then," he said quietly. "I'll make sure to. I don't… I don't want to hurt you like that again."
Evan nodded as he held Fun close. "I understand. I'm not going to hurt you, you're okay now." Suddenly Shadow lept off the bed and began to circle the two, sniffing around and pawing at Evan. "Yes Shadow you attention hog, we love you as well." He got on the floor and began to pet the dog as she lay down and stretched out, just wanting attention.
Fun looked down at the dog, giving a small smile. He knelt down.
"Would they be okay with me petting them?" Fun had used to pet any dog or cat he saw, but… He had a bad encounter with one after he escaped captivity.
"She's really nice and loving. Go ahead, as long as you don't mind with being drowned in dog slobber." He grinned and kissed Shadow's nose. "Such a good girl. I'm not the biggest fan of dogs actually, more of a cat person myself."
Fun smiled a little, reaching out to rub Shadow's stomach.
"Oh, your mom said the cat… Mozzart? Is waiting at the door." He looked at Evan with a small smile. Animals always helped calm him down.
"Ah Motzy. Such a lover." He opened the bedroom door, and in walked Mozart who immediately climbed up his leg and onto his back, despite being a full grown cat. "Yes yes Mozzarella stick I missed you too." He shook his head as he carefully sat on the bed, the cat curling around his neck. "He's not very fond of other people. He'll tolerate being pet but no one else can pick him up or anything."
"Makes sense," Fun said. He continued to pet Shadow, smiling. "The is a cat, after all. They can be quite picky." He looked up at Evan on the bed, sitting on the floor now. He let out a little him of content, at least for now. He was glad to see Evan doing better, and for Evan to have forgiven him.
