Rio lifted her chin gently, his eyes telling her not to give in again.
Rio lifted her chin gently, his eyes telling her not to give in again.
Her eyes were rimmed with tears, threatening to spill over. But his voice was so pretty, calming even. She could listen to him all day.
Rio kept singing, switching songs every time he ran out. He sang like that for hours, until his voice started to give out but even then he didn't stop.
She calmed slowly the more he sang until she finally relaxed. When she knew the song, she'd hum the harmony, sometimes singing.
Rio smiled when she sang, eventually pulling both of them tho their feet, hugging her.
"I'm sorry I'm such a broken mess." She mumbled into his shoulder, hugging him tightly.
"Everyone has their dark spots…." said Rio softly. "Will you let me try to pull you out of yours?"
"Please…I can't take them anymore…"
Rio nodded, "We'll work through this… I know we can.."
"I hope so." Her grip on him only tightened.
Rio tightened hius grip on her in reassurance. "Do you want to stay here?"
"I-I can't. Please no." Her eyes brimmed with tears again.
Rio held her, "Calma… you can come home with me…"
"I-If you wouldn't mind…"
"Of course not!" said Rio, smiling at her.
She cracked a tiny, broken smile. "Thank you."
Rio smiled, "Always." he told her.
"Now is not the time to quote Harry Potter." She chuckled softly.
Rio laughed, "It brightened the mood!"
"I mean, it certainly did but still!"
Rio chuckled, "Come on, we should get going." he said, grabbing his bags, holding her hand.
"Y-Yeah, I guess."
Rio gave her a reassuring smile before leading her outside and back home.
The air felt freeing, unlike the suffocating memories in her own apartment. She took a deep, shaking breath, trying to relax.
Rio noticed her relax, and smiled to himself, deciding to take the long route home and walk.`
