Luca remained still even though her anger boiled under her skin causing her to flush. That explosive anger is what had gotten her in trouble years ago. "No…No I'm not saying that at all." She finally got out. "He can be a little intimidating is all. We want Warner to trust us right away–" She paused, considering. "Unless you're wanting to give a little display of strength to squash any doubts he may have about the team."
Luca leaned back into her chair smirking like a cat. "God knows he has enough yummy muscle. And when you put him next to me…." She let the sentence dangle suggestively, tilting her head to the side slightly. "An impressive power move, Boss."
"My thinking exactly," Casey said quietly, smiling a small, self-satisfied smile. "You caught on quick. Good. Do you have any more questions?"
"Not that I can think of." Luca stood, grin back in place. "I'll wear something comfortable." She winked at Casey.
"Just dress professionally," Casey said going back to her papers. "Can you send Sol in?"
Luca pouted, but left the office. Stepping lithely around the room she stopped next to Sol. "Boss needs you." She plopped into an empty chair, pulling out her own laptop.
"Luca, can you pass me a water bottle? If you do, I'll let you have a handful of candy." Lane asked, he was tired and didn't want to get up. Sol may have taught some kids, but Lane had killed someone earlier in the day when they had tried to break into his apartment.
(Lane just constantly makes me go wtf and I love it)
Yup~/
Luca didn't even look as she reached over, grasped a water bottle from the mini fridge she was propping her feet up on, and tossed it over her head at Lane. She wasn't afraid that she'd hit him or miss; they'd been doing this maneuver for years now. Still not looking, she held her hand out for the candy owed to her.
Lane caught it and threw over some candy. "This bitch empty, yeet." He muttered under his breath as he threw it. He could never escape Vine, even when it was dead. "Pleasure making business with you." Lane said before popping the cap of th water off with his teeth.
Sol raised her eyebrows then stood up and walked into Casey's office. "So what did you need to talk to me about?"
"I'd like to have you as backup for my meeting tomorrow," Casey said, looking up from her papers. "If it's in a building then outside or hidden somewhere in the building. If it's outside somewhere then just blending in. It's completely up to you. What do you think?"
"I can do that. Are you going to be there alone with him?" Sol considered the options. She'd probably just go with the flow.
"No, I'm taking Luca and Cameron with me, actually. I've only talked to Warner once over the phone and I want to get all the backup I can."
Sol nodded. "That makes sense. This job is a little out of the ordinary, isn't it? Either way, it's always good to have backup."
Casey nodded. "It is indeed. Thank you, Sol. I'll fill you in on more details as soon as I have them. Will you send Lane in?" she asked, turning her attention away from Sol. (I edited this)
Lane is just going to look up when everyone leaves and either give them the middle finger, or look at them with kicked puppy eyes.//
(lol I'm including him, dw)
Lol, I haven't decided his reaction if you hadn't so thanks///
"Kay." Sol left the room and sat back down in her chair. "Lane. Your turn."
Lane yawned and shut his laptop. "Can do Sol. Luca, make sure she doesn't touch my candy." He says as he makes his way into the office.
Luca waved a hand at Lane, distracted by something on her computer. "Sure sure." She peeked over her should to check that Lane was in the room with Casey before leaning over to Sol. "Can you give me a chocolate?" she whispered, motioning to the giant pile of candy.
Cameron rolled his eyes. Children. All of them. He walked across the room and sat down in a recliner. He pulled a book and a pair of reading glasses that was tucked away into his long, black cloak and crossed a leg over the other. He unfolded the glasses and set them on before opening up his book, rejoining Oliver in his adventure.
(Also, I updated Cameron’s form if anyone cares ^-^)
