"This is the Tim Burton one, right?" Ayala asked, peering curiously at the TV.
"This is the Tim Burton one, right?" Ayala asked, peering curiously at the TV.
"Yup. A beloved Halloween movie." Apollo hummed, starting to eat slowly. He hummed quietly, eyes glued to the tv.
"I've never seen it. Is it good?"
"It's a bit long, and slow moving," Apollo mentioned, breaking to take a drink of his water. "But enjoyable none the less. The music is good, and characters are likable. That's really all that matters, right?"
"I guess so." She shrugged.
As the movie played, Apollo seemed to have gotten sucked in. Yet not too long after finishing his food, he glanced over to Ayala. "Mm… you don't have to sit with me. You can make me do something you wanna do instead of watching this."
Ayala laughed. She, too, had gotten sucked in by the movie. "Nah, we'll finish it."
"M'kay, maybe after we can find something else to do?" Apollo asked, starting to get sucked back in.
"Yeah."
The two just sat there for a while, until the movie came to an end. When it was over, Apollo stood and stretched with a slight yawn. "Mmm… what now? We can so whatever you wanna do."
"I dunno, you choose." Ayala was feeling sleepy.
"But I'm bad at choosing. C'mon, I've picked a lot tonight. It's your turn." Apollo insisted, throwing his trash away as he looked over to her. "No buts."
Ayala raised her eyebrows. "Um, okay then. Well, I think Mira might have set up some, you know, Halloween kiddie games or something like that."
"Then lead the way. We can play whatever you want to." Apollo grinned, offering a hand to her from where she sat.
Ayala took his hand and got up.
The two of them walked towards the direction of the games, smiling softly. "What do you wanna play first?"
"Well, let's see what there is first, you big hurrier." Ayala grinned and nudged him playfully.
Apollo huffed, scrunching his nose up at the nudging. "Fine, fine… but don't dawdle." He mumbled, following her as they looked around.
Ayala laughed. "Here, there's cookie decorating. You wanna do that?"
Apollo smiled, nodding a little. "Sure! I'm not the best, but that's fine." He shrugged, leading her over to the table.
"Oh, c'mon, I'm sure you're great at it. Ooh, Mira's frosting! Mira's frosting is the best. Also, you know, I'm surprised that chili didn't melt your face off."
"Oh, it was really spicy. I'm gonna be honest, I was honestly dying a little. But it was good, and I couldn't make myself put it down." Apollo admitted with a chuckle. "But anyways, let's make these cookies."
"Yup, that's Mira's chili for you," Ayala said dryly. "And Mira herself actually. Spicy, makes you die a little, good, and you can't put her down." She plonked down into a seat and grabbed a pumpkin cookie, smearing orange frosting all over it.
Apollo chuckled, looking over to her as he frosted as well. "That sounds really bad, if you take it out of context." He hummed, attempting to be incredibly careful with the frosting.
She elbowed him and started in with the sprinkles.
