"She always took a fondness to you, but never intruded. I guess when we get married, she'll make the popcorn for you if you ask politely. And then she'll spoil the shits outta this one." She rested a hand on her belly.
"She always took a fondness to you, but never intruded. I guess when we get married, she'll make the popcorn for you if you ask politely. And then she'll spoil the shits outta this one." She rested a hand on her belly.
He laughed lightly, "I plan to do that as well," He smiled and looked down at her stomach, "How long ago did you find out you were pregnant?" He asked.
Her breath hitched in her throat, and she tried to pass it off as a cough. "Uh…don't get angry now, but…3 months ago…"
He stayed silent for a moment before nodding lightly, "So only six more months?" A small smile appeared on his face and he gingerly placed a hand on her stomach, "Only a little while longer."
Jami let out a sigh of relief. "And only two more months until we can find out the gender." She ate some more popcorn.
"What gender do you want it to be?" He asked, keeping a hand on her stomach but turning back to watch the movie.
"I don't mind. But if it's a boy, his name will be Peter," She smiled, more to herself. "After my grandfather, Peter Jon."
He smiled and nodded, "If it's a girl can I choose her name?" He started going over names in his head, lost in thought in a matter of moments.
She nodded softly. "Yeah, of course. But I name the second one. To keep it even, you know."
"That sounds like a plan," He said, snapping out of his thoughts with a bright smile.
(I'm gon skip forward)
Jami pulled closer to Sebastian, eyebrows furrowing slightly. Her blue hair was fanning out slightly, and longer than it previously had been ever since Seb found out about the pregnancy. She could feel his chin softly on her head, his arm across her body as he slept soundly. As much as she liked sleep, she knew it wouldn't be long until the twins woke up.
(boyxgirl twins)
(Alrighty)
Sebastian was fast asleep, not even dreaming, just enjoying the rare quiet. The only sign that he was just sleeping and wasn't dead was his slow, steady breathing and heartbeat and his occasional shifting around. He shifted ever so slightly and pulled her closer to him, knowing that the twins were going to be awake soon. Having a pair of twins to take care of was quite a lot of work and Peter and Fia were a handful.
(Fia is short for Fiona, he just calls her Fia cuz he like it)
Jami kept her eyes closed, hoping that if she did she might be able to fall asleep again. Just as she started to drift off, crying cut through the silence of the mansion. She sluggishly opened her eyes, glad that she'd made sure none of the staff were homed at the mansion unless the needed it, as the screaming of two babies would be terrible for them.
He heard the crying after a few minutes and started waking up, shaking his head and sighing, "I can go try to get them back to sleep.." He mumbled, his eyes still closed and his lips barely moving, "What time is it anyway..?" It was clear that he'd rather keep sleeping, but he knew that Jami probably needed the sleep more than he did.
Jami started to get out of bed. "No, I'll get them," She yawned. "It's my turn." She slowly walked out of the room and into the next one, where the twins had their cribs. She noticed that Fiona was crying more than Peter, who was barely doing it. She looked at the time, then sat down on the rocking chair and started to nurse her.
He nodded sleepily and fell back asleep relatively quickly, mumbling a barely audible "Thank you." to her before she left the room. Sebastian pulled his side of the blanket tighter around himself and then completely drifted to sleep.
Jami started to sing the lullaby that Jasper would sing to her as a baby. Her voice, normally shaky while singing, was crystal clear and cut through the silence.
"May your dreams bring you peace in the darkness
May you always rise over the rain
May the light from above always lead you to love
May you stay in the arms of the angels
May you always be brave in the shadows
Till the sun shines upon you again
Hear this prayer in my heart
And will ne'er be apart
May you stay in the arms of the angels
May you hear every song in the forest
And if ever you lose your own way;
Hear my voice like a breeze
Whisper soft through the trees
May you stay in the arms of the angels
May you grow up to stand as a man, love
With the pride of your family and name
When you lay down your head
For to rest in your bed
May you stay in the arms of the angels"
Jami's singing reached their room and Sebastian, asleep again, smiled lightly.
Jami looked at the sleeping Fiona and picked her up, putting her into her crib. She then picked Peter up and nursed him as well, singing the lullaby.
Still sleeping, he rolled over and rubbed his face sleepily, patting the bed to see if she was back yet.
Jami picked Peter up and then placed him in his crib, his sleeping face peaceful. Even though she lacked sleep, she wouldn't give up Fiona and Peter for the world. They were her flesh and blood, and her new family.
Sebastian frowned in his sleep when he couldn't find Jami next to him and he started waking up slowly, wondering where she was.
She stroked the twins heads slowly, smiling softly. She loved being a mother: it was her shot at a family. She'd already promised herself that she would be a better mother than her own mother was, and she knew Sebastian felt the same.
"Jami?" He called out in a sleepy voice, sitting up and frowning. Usually she wasn't gone this long.
Jamibsang the lullaby softly now, just above a whisper. She knew that she needed to sleep, but she felt protective of her children in that moment.
