"Jami?" He called out a little louder this time, looking around their room for her.
"Jami?" He called out a little louder this time, looking around their room for her.
Jami smiled softly at the twins before switching off the dimmed lights. She quietly closed the door and started to wall back towards the bedroom.
Sebastian sighed and flopped backwards, starting to worry about if she was coming back. He knew it was stupid, but ever since the twins were born his worry levels had increased, both for Jami and the twins. The only way he was calm was when he knew all of them were safe and not in danger.
Yawning, Jami walked back into the bedroom and flopped down on the bed. She struggled to keep her eyes opened as she got under the covers, and then fell asleep almost immediately, barely realising that Sebastian was awake again.
He sighed again when she flopped onto the bed, this time in relief that she was fine. Sebastian rolled over and wrapped a protective arm around her again, knowing that the probability that he was going to fall asleep again was quite low.
Jami felt safe. For one of the first times since Noah's death, she felt peaceful and happy. She had two beautiful babies, and an equally beautiful man as her husband.
"I love you Jami." He mumbled, pressing a light kiss to her forehead and tracing light designs on her cheek sine he was awake but didn't want to go to his shop of sorts just yet.
Her face was peaceful. She'd been more open since the birth of the twins, and she'd been a better mother than her own mother had been.
Having a real family had changed Sebastian some. He was still his normal self, but it was clear he had changed, taking more care of himself and constantly building little helpful contraptions for his kids that were too young to understand what they were yet.
Jami awoke to her phone ringing softly. She looked at the caller ID, and walked out of the room to take it. If they were calling this early in the morning, and knowing that she had a pair of twin babies, it must be important.
Sebastian had drifted back off to sleep already, a small frown on his face when she left to take a phone call.
"Hey, can we make this quick? I need sleep." … "It's two in the morning. You know that I have twins." … "Look, can we talk about this later?" … "Yeah, bye."
He rolled onto his stomach and laid his arms under his head, taking up quite a lot space on their bed unintentionally.
Jami sighed as she walked back into he bedroom, running her hand through her long blue hair.
He hadn't moved at all when she came back in, still laying right in the middle of the bed with one arm and his legs thrown out to take up more space.
She slapped his arm and leg softly, physically saying move or you'll suffer.
Sebastian lifted his arm up and flopped it closer to himself, not moving his leg at all. He turned his head to the side and opened his eyes slightly, looking up at her.
Jami sighed, rolled her eyes and climbed into bed next to him, curling into a comfortable fetal position.
He wrapped his arm around her and closed his eyes again, pulling her next to him as he drifted off to sleep.
(let's skip to the next morning)
She woke up to her alarm and immediately got up. She walked into the twin's room to check on them only to find them sleeping peacefully. It wouldn't last long.
Sebastian's alarm went off a little later than hers and he woke up with a sigh, turning off his alarm and sitting up. This was the only time of the day that he could actually get some time to himself and his inventions and he planned to use every minute of it.
Jami saw Peter's eyes start to open and picked him up. She didn't want to call favourites this early, but…he was her favourite. He barely ever cried and was such a sweet child.
He rolled out of bed and rubbed his eyes, yawning as he walked to the twin's room to check on them. "Is Fia up?" He asked quietly when he saw Jami in there, silently hoping that she was.
She looked down, the back to Peter. "Doesn't look like it. But maybe she'll wake up if you pick her up. She's a daddy's girl."
"That's for sure," he said with a small smile, walking to her crib and carefully picking her up. In all honesty he liked her better than Peter, she was deffinetly a daddy's girl and she had quite an attitude even now.
