"Yeah, but you know my forward response to things," She said. "I need it. Otherwise I wouldn't be a good paramedic. Why don't we go get ice cream?"
"Yeah, but you know my forward response to things," She said. "I need it. Otherwise I wouldn't be a good paramedic. Why don't we go get ice cream?"
He nodded, "That sounds good, ice cream it is." Sebastian looked at Fia and Peter with a smile and nodded again, "Let's get going."
She passed the pram off to Sebastian and her phone started to ring. She trailed behind a bit while talking and as she locked the mansion. "Yep, I'll meet you there. K, bye."
"Who was that?" Sebastian asked, happily pushing the pram as they walked.
"Someone you'll meet when we go out for ice cream," She replied slyly. She'd been talking with this person for a while, and what they had to offer was something she wanted to surprise Sebastian with.
Immediately he became slightly more suspicious of this person and he glanced at his wife, "What does this person do?"
"If I told you it would ruin my surprise for you," She said quickly. She had nothing to hide, but she still wanted to surprise Sebastian.
"I'm not a big fan of surprises," He replied, focusing his attention back on Fia and Peter as he tried to think of who Jami could be talking about.
"I know, but this one you'll want to be a surprise," She answered. "Trust me. This is something big, and I don't want to tell you because…well, you'll see."
Sebastian sighed slightly and shook his head, “If this is anything that’s going to scare me…” He trailed off and glanced at her.
"It's not gonna scare you, Sebastian." If it scared him, he was either a wimp or…well, a wimp. There was virtually nothing to be scared of in Jami's surprise.
He nodded and glanced at the twins, knowing they were getting close to the ice cream, "Only a few more blocks," He said, his gaze flicking up to make sure he knew they were close.
"As much as I love getting out of the house, I hate doing physical exercise. It's different when I'm working, since I either save their lives or let them die."
"We should go on more walks then, maybe you wouldn't hate physical exercise as much then," He suggested, rounding the corner and smiling at the now in view ice cream shop.
Jami rolled her eyes before allowing them to scan the shop for the person she was meeting. Either they were inside or she was early.
He led them into the shop and looked around, finding an empty table for them to sit at while.
She looked around and spotted the person she was meeting. "Connor!" She cried happily as she wrapped him in a hug.
"Hey, James!" He replied, returning the hug.
Sebastian smiled lightly as he glanced at Fia and Peter, glancing up as Jami called to someone.
"Connor, I'd like you to meet my husband, Sebastian," She said, dragging Connor over. "Sebastian, this is my old friend Connor."
"Nice to meet you, Sebastian. I've heard a lot about you."
"And these two are Peter and Fiona."
“Nice to meet you as well, Conner.” Sebastian said, nodding his head in greeting before glancing at the twins with a smile.
"James has told me a lot about you," Connor said politely, sensing Sebastian's mild hostility and not wanting to intrude. "So…I'm assuming James has told you about why I'm here?"
He shook his head, "She hasn't told me why you're here, I'm clueless." He pasted a small smile on his face to try to seem a little less untrusting, hoping it worked.
"I wanted it to be a surprise!" Jami defended. Connor rolled his eyes and chuckled a little.
"If you have a seat, I'll explain," He said, pulling out a chair at a table and sitting down.
Sebastian sat down across from Connor, pulling the pram next to him as he waited to figure out what he wanted.
"So, as you know, Jami is a lover of music. Her singing voice is excellent and she has a keen eye for music. I just so happen to be the leading music producer at Ansel Records, and although my dad being the owner of the company propelling me to where I am, I'm only in this position because I worked hard for it."
