Jami glanced back to Peter, and his little eyes locked with hers. She would stop a bus to save him. It wouldn't be hard considering her magic, but she would.

Fia didn't wake up in Sebastian's arms and he smiled, looking up at Jami and rocking his daughter lightly in his arms. "I'm going to go to my workshop," He whispered to her, "Can she come with? Please?"
She looked at him knowingly. "You know how I feel about that, Seb. If I can get hurt, she will even more so."
"Please Jami? I'll be amazingly careful with not getting her hurt in any way." He did his best puppy eyes, "I have a little crib I can put her in, or I can rig something up so I can carry her while I work?"
She signed, but didn't give up. "Sebastian, you know what my job is. I would never take Peter or Fiona there because they could they hurt. I could easily get hurt but I do it because I love it."
He sighed and looked down at Fia, deciding to try one last time, "Pretty please? You know I would never forgive myself if any of you got hurt but I really want to bring her down to my workshop, you and Peter can come down too if you want."
She looked at him, almost pleadingly. "Sebastian…" She started, knowing that she was going to win but that he wasn't going down without a fight.
"C'mon Jami.." He glanced at the still sleeping Fia in his arms, "If I set her back down she'll wake up, then she'll cry and that won't be good."
"She's a newborn baby and she's gonna cry either way, whether it's because she's hungry, tired or needs to get changed. No means no, Sebastian."
He went quiet and looked down at his daughter, sighing as he walked back to the crib and set her down, "Better?" He asked, glancing at her before starting out of the room and down to his workroom.
Jami sighed and shook her head, stroking Peter's head softly. She didn't like fighting with Sebastian, but he didn't understand that she was just doing what was best. She wanted to do better than her mother.
He walked quietly down to his workshop, slipping inside quietly and flipping on the light to reveal his table full of projects and wall of tools. This space was bigger than his other one and he had even spent some of the money he had saved up to get a computer and speaker just for this room. He quickly got some music playing and got to work, slightly sad he couldn't show his daughter the little invention he was working on for her and her brother.
Jami's phone rang, and she put Peter back in his crib to answer it. "Yeah, what is it?"… "I know I said I'd ring you back."… "Well I have two babies! How do you expect me to make time for you?!"
As the music played quite loudly he worked on any and all of the projects, just adding touch ups to some and testing them, while spending more time than he wanted to on others.
"Why am I to blame for this?!" … "You're the one who went and gambled your money away!" … "No! I'm not going down for this! Count me out! Do not come crying to me when you can't pay for basic things!" She hung up angrily, then ran her hands through her hair.
Sebastian continued working, a small smile making its way onto his face when he finally got the small mechanical frog he was making to work. It hopped around the table a few times and he set it to the side after turning it off, figuring he should turn to his more serious projects instead of the little toy ones.
Fiona started to cry as she woke up, so Jami picked her up. She made scarlet sparkles appear above Fiona using her hand, which in turn made the baby stop crying and giggle softly.
After a few more minutes of fiddling with gears and buttons on his biggest project, he decided to take a break for the day and go eat something. He turned off the music and headed out of the workshop, going straight to the kitchen.
Jami smiled at Fiona. "You like that, do you?" She whispered softly. She took joy in seeing happiness on the twin's faces, them being one of the only sources of light in her life.
Sebastian reached the kitchen quickly and immediately started looking for something good tasting and probably very unhealthy.
Jami repositioned her daughter slightly, carefully picking up her son in the other arm. She started to make her way downstairs to get her breakfast.
He had already gotten a bowl out and was making himself a bowl of cereal, humming lightly and almost dancing around the kitchen as he got it ready.
She slowly lowered the babies into their downstairs cribs before walking into the kitchen. She grabbed some bacon, egg and a couple hash browns and got to work on cooking them. No one worked on the weekends, which left the couple to do everything themselves.
"What should we do today Jami?" Sebastian asked, shoveling the cereal into his mouth and looking over at her.
Jami turned after putting the bacon in the frypan, hearing it sizzle. "I'm fine with whatever. As long as the twins are fine, I'm good with anything."
