"We were watching the end of Titanic. I was crying, and you jokingly wiped the tear away…." The ball was getting larger and larger. If Felix didn't remember what happened… would he believe Alex? He had barely believed it when it happened.
(If I don't answer it's because I'm out of battery… I only have 2%)
Felix laughed. "Thanks for trying to get me in a better mood with that joke. I needed it. As if that would ever happen." He snorted. "But seriously, who is it? Do I know him?"
(I understand!)
The ball dropped, and Alex felt like puking.
"I'm being serious, Felix."
Felix froze, even though he was already lying completely still. "Oh." His mind processed the fact for a moment. "How did I… How did I react? Is that why…?" He nodded to all the bandaids and injuries on his own body. "Oh God. What the hell did I do?" He groaned.
Alex put his hands in his lap.
"You got really upset, and decided to go home. You crashed on the way…"
"Oh. Yeah, that sounds like something I would do…" He smiled a bit. "Did we come up with any kind of solution for this… problem?"
"We didn't, not really. You could fake it easily, but me? You-" Alex chuckled, "you said we could claim I got in a bar fight."
"That… sounds a lot like me too." Felix closed his eyes. "Fuck, this is not good."
Alex didn't know why, but he hated it when Felix said stuff like that.
"I'm sure we'll figure something out…"
"I guess." Felix smiled unhappily. "So… do you know what the doctors have said? How bad am I?"
"Well… your leg was pinned under the motorcycle, and your hand got messed up to. And then there's the concussion…" Alex rubbed his face.
"It's pretty bad."
"I will be laying here for a pretty long time, wont I?" Felix looked sad.
Alex nodded.
"Unfortunately." He unconciously put his hand on the bed next to Felix's.
Felix only remembered one thing from the accident. He didn't know what he felt about it, but he knew it had made him feel… something. "Hey Alex?" He looked over at his best friend.
"Yeah?" Alex replied. He had a concerned look on his face. He hated seeing his best friend like this.
Felix took a deep breath. "You know… I only remember one thing from the accident. From when I was lying under the bike. I remember thinking about… you." He met Alex's gaze. "Does that sound crazy to you?"
"U-um…" Alex blushed slightly.
"I mean you had just got done with hanging out, and we are best friends…"
"No. Not like that." Felix paused for a second, looking him in the eyes. "Anyway, I shouldn't have brought it up. What happened to my bike?"
Alex was silent for a moment.
"I'm sorry Felix. It was really messed up too…"
Felix went paler than he already was. "No. Are you saying…?" That bike was the only thing that gave him freedom. It was the only item in his life that he actually cared about.
Alex nodded slowly.
"Mom talked to all the local garages. They all said the same thing; it would be more expensive to repair tab the buy new…"
Felix groaned. "Fuuuuuuck. I wish that I was still passed out." He realised something. "About that, how long have I been gone?"
"A day now." What Alex didn't day was that he had been there the entire time.
