Alex's mother chuckled.
"Really Alex? Aren't you a bit emotional for that movie?" Alex blushed sligtly.
"Mom, come on. I'm not that bad." His mother chuckled.
"Well, I'll leave you two be." She stepped back into the kitchen.
Felix nudged him in the shoulder. "Told ya."
Alex rolled his eyes.
"Let's just get this started." He walked into the living room, where the DVD laid on the coffee table.
"M'kay." Felix threw himself on the sofa. He had been here a million times before. He threw his backpack on the floor next to him, pulling up a bag of chips. "I brought snacks."
Alex laughed.
"Wonderful." He turned the TV on, popping the DVD in. He flopped down, ready to start watching Titanic.
"This is the boring part," Felix wispered as the scene with old Rose started.
(Crap I've never seen Titanic)
(I'm very disapointed in ya my friend)
(Go do that as soon as you have 3 hours and 15 minutes spare time okay)
(I'm sorry, I've never been able to get my hands on it! )
(Well… Alex hasn't seen it anyways so just play along with that lol)
Alex nodded, eyes glued to the television.
The movie went on. Felix already knew what was going to happen. As people started to fall off the ship, he just smirked.
(I assume you already know the ending… otherwise I might have to spoil it to ya anyways lol)
Alex watched, wide eyed and mouth opened.
"Ohmygod…"
(Oh, I know how it ends. I'm not uncultured.)
On the tv, they all fell into the water. Felix silently mouthed the lines as the actors said them. "I'll never let go, Jack. I promise."
(I'm pathetic lol I rewatched that scene to be able to quote it correctly and ended up crying just because of watching those like 30 seconds)
Alex started crying silently. Not wanting Felix to make fun of him, he tried to hide it.
Felix saw it. He looked over at Alex. "Aw Alex," he said in a soft voice, teasing his best friend lovingly. "I told you this would happen." He reached out to to gently wipe away the tears with his thumb.
And then
the second his hand touched Alex's face
BOOM.
The black mark on Alex's cheek exploded in color. Every color of the rainbow was there, every single shade that could possibly be described with words. And so did his own thumb. The black mark was no longer black, and Felix froze as he understood what that meant.
No.
Alex looked over.
"What's- HOLY MOTHER OF JESUS."
Felix quickly pulled away his hand, hiding his thumb as if that would somehow make the beautiful colors go away. He felt like puking, his thoughts spinning. "No," he wispered. "No, that can't be it, we're not soulmates cause I'm not gay and I…" Felix started to panic. "I'm not gay," he repeated, "I mean, were best friends and I couldn't… we couldn't possibly…" His voice died at the last words.
