Alex lightly rubbed circles on the back of Felix's hand with his thumb, concerned.
"I'm glad your okay, Felix."
Alex lightly rubbed circles on the back of Felix's hand with his thumb, concerned.
"I'm glad your okay, Felix."
"Yeah. Me too." Felix sighed and leaned his head on top of Alex's. "Heck, who knows where I would have been now if you hadn't found me." He turned his head slightly, looking down at Alex with a warm little smile. "Thank you. I forgot to say that. Thank you for saving my life."
Alex looked up at Felix, blushing.
"Y-Your welcome…" he muttered, slightly embarrassed.
Felix looked at the clock on the hospital wall. "As much as I would want you to stay… you should probably go." He smiled at Alex, and the smile was sligthly sad. "You have school tomorrow, and I wouldn't want you to miss out on that because of me."
Alex let go of Felix's hand slowly.
"I guess…" He moved to get off the bed, but last minute he turned and hugged Felix.
"I'll hate every minute of it."
Felix hugged him back. "I know. Me too. But remember that at least it's not as awful as being trapped in a hospital bed with numerous injuries," he joked with a weak smile. Then he got a bit more serious. "I'll miss you. Are you coming back tomorrow?"
"Of course! Screw homework, I'm coming here right after I get out." Alex buried his head in the crook of Felix's neck, muffling his words slightly.
"I'll miss you too."
"Don't you dare, young man!" Felix said, doing the impression of a strict parent. "You can come here, but you'll have to bring your homework. Although…" A mischievous grin grew on his face. He tilted his head. "If I get to decide… you probably won't get much of your homework done anyways."
Alex smiled, moving his head to look up at Felix.
"And if I get to decide, you won't do much of anything until your healed." He giggled, though what he said did have a serious note to it.
"Not even…" He smirked and tilted his head, "…kiss you?"
"Only if you can control yourself." He gave a coy smile, teasing.
"And I'm bringing your homework too."
"Nooo," Felix whined, "Isn't that supposed to be the good part about being sick? Not having to do schoolwork?" He gave him a grumpy look, but smiled. "And I can most certainly not control myself," he mumbled under his breath.
"I, for one, am not letting you fall behind in class." Alex giggled. When Felix mumbled under his breath, Alex raised an eyebrow.
"What was that? It sounded like you were mumbling," he said with a silly grin.
"What? No. Totally not. I didn't say anything." Felix gave him an innocent smile, trying to keep himself from laughing. "I just… coughed. Yeah. That's what I did."
Alex rolled his eyes.
"Why is it I don't believe that?"
"Well, it might be because you know me way too well. And, um…" Felix blushed and glanced up at him, then back down again. "I might have… I might have said that… um, I might have said that I kinda, um, can't control myself." He bit his lower lip.
Alex giggled.
"Is that all? You make it sound so serious…" Alex finally let go of Felix, standing beside his bed.
"If you can't control yourself, then I'll just have to." He said this with a slightly hilarious confidence, giving a goofy grin.
Felix shook his head slightly, a mischievous grin growing on his face. "Oh, Honey, you can't control me…"
"Well, if I can't control you, and you can't control you… I guess my mom will have to." Alex gave a cocky grin with the empty threat.
(I'm laughing so hard at that)
Felix bursted out laughing. "I'd like to see that!" He said, trying to catch his breath. He imagined himself trying to kiss Alex in the hospital room, and then Alex's mom kicking the door open with ninja skills, running into the room and dragging them apart while yelling 'No nonooooooo!'
Alex chuckled, glad he had gotten Felix to laugh.
"Seriously though. It's late." Felix really didn't want Alex to leave, but he feared he had to.
Alex sighed. He really didn't want to go, but he knew the nurse wouldn't let him stay.
"I know, I know. I just…I don't want you to be alone."
"Trust me, I don't want that either." Felix sighed.
"Promise me you'll text me if you start to get lonely, okay?" Alex gave a small smile.
"Even during school."
