“So what have you been up to, Mr.Wolf?” she asked, raising an eyebrow.
“So what have you been up to, Mr.Wolf?” she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Ah. Nothing important. Or, nothing that would really concern you." he replied. "And don't call me mister wolf."
“Then what would you like me to call you?” she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Dmitri works fine." he replied. "Ulyanov is also alright, i suppose." he shrugged his shoulders.
"Okay," Elissa said, studying him. "So what can you tell me? Any sort of news would be amazing, because I've been bored all day." And frightened, though she didn't want to mention that.
"Hm. Well, the cops found your…grandmother's body and they're looking for you." Dmitri said, stretching a little bit.
"So I'm a missing person officially now? My dad is going to have a heart attack," Elissa sighed. "Anything else?"
"Yes, you are. And…nothing much else, I don't think."
"Okay, well, thank you," she said awkwardly. "So how long do you plan to keep me here?" She knew that when she had asked him similar questions in the past, he hadn't really given her an answer, but maybe he would this time?
"I…don't really know." he replied honestly, shrugging his shoulders.
“I understand,” Elissa said, though she didn’t really. She really wondered why she was still here at all.
Dmitri let out a breath, shaking his head a little bit. "Anything else I can do for you?"
“I don’t know,” Elissa responded. “The company is nice, though.”
He nodded a little, running his fingers through his blonde hair. "Alright."
She leaned against the wall, trying to figure out what to say next. “Am I the first person in here who isn’t part of a gang or something?” she asked curiously.
"Well– no." he replied, shaking his head at her. "You aren't."
“So do you make a habit of kidnapping those who annoy you?” she asked, some part of her almost hoping to annoy him or get a rise out of him despite his newfound politeness.
"No." he replied simply, blinking at her. "You were a security issue."
“That’s flattering,” Elissa joked, her stomach turning a bit as she thought back to that night. She hadn’t been thinking clearly, and now she was paying the price. But even though everything she did was no use, she wouldn’t have done anything differently. She would try to save her family at any cost.
Dmitri sighed faintly. "In any case, I have no wish to harm you unless I have to." He said, looking around the cell.
“Well, that’s reassuring, I guess,” Elissa said, a slight edge to her voice. “So I guess I’m just going to have to wait here for now.” She wished there was a way she could let her dad know that she was fine, but she didn’t dare ask Dmitri about it because if they didn’t already have his information, she wasn’t about to give it to them.
Dmitri nodded a little bit. "Yes. I can bring you things if you need, but you aren't leaving this cell."
“When you say things, does that include something that I could access the outside world with? Like to see the news? Even a book might be nice, I suppose,” she added.
"I…suppose perhaps a newspaper or a book would be fine. Nothing that could be used to communicate, though. My apologies."
Elissa sighed. “I understand,” she replied, glad that she could have some sort of information about the outside world.
