"Thank you," He mumbled quietly, the two of them starting to walk down the alley again. "I'm…I'm sorry for bumping into you. I wasn't looking."
"Thank you," He mumbled quietly, the two of them starting to walk down the alley again. "I'm…I'm sorry for bumping into you. I wasn't looking."
"I wasn't looking either, so I guess we're both at fault," Wolf said, shrugging as he walked beside Bridge. He licked his lips as he remembered why he was going down this way in the first place. "Ah, right. I was coming down here to get some food. You have any ideas?"
"Um…" Bridge considered. "Cupcakes."
(gtg now, sorry that was short)
(It's okay)
Wolf nodded. "Cupcakes sound divine right about now. I got some cash, so if you can lead the way to some cupcakes, I can pay for them."
"Really?" Bridge looked up at him with wide, gold eyes, even a sort of smile starting to spread across his face.
Wolf smiled slightly at Bridge's question and reaction. "Yes, really. I have no problem with helping someone out—especially when it gets me cupcakes in the process."
“Thank you!” Bridge beamed now, starting to walk a little faster and pulling Wolf along with him. “There’s a bakery over here.”
Wolf let out a startled laugh as Bridge pulled him along. "Hey, you think the ingredients are still there? And if the kitchen is still operational?"
“Yeah, there’s a guy who works there. He’s not mean to me,” Bridge told him, bouncing along the alleyway.
"That's good. I was actually wondering if I could try my hand at making some cupcakes," Wolf said, tilting his head as he went through his and his sister's own recipe. "It's been a while, but I think I might still remember how to."
“Really?” Bridge asked, looking up at him brightly. “You can ask him to make some of your own!”
((Bridge is so adorable, I just want to hug him))
Wolf's smile grew as he looked down at Bridge. "Alright, I guess I will," he said with a soft chuckle.
((Ehehehehe he gets cuter))
“Yay!” Bridge exclaimed loudly, wide gold eyes like lamps in the quickly-darkening street.
Wolf chuckled, admiring Bridge's unique eyes. He was reminded of his own eyes, and it somehow brought a little comfort to him. Maybe he should take out his contacts. They were starting to itch…
“Anyway,” Bridge said, blushing a little as he realized he was still holding Wolf’s hand.
Wolf arched a brow. "Anyway?" he prompted, his lips twitching up slightly in a half smile.
“N-nothing, sorry…” He stammered quietly, blushing and looking down again.
Wolf was more amused than anything, and he thought that Bridge's blush was cute.
Bridge didn’t say anything for a while, looking up as they came to a door with a little lantern hanging over it.
"Hmm. Is this the bakery?" Wolf guessed, cocking his head to the side curiously. He hadn't been down these parts before, so he was completely relying on Bridge at this point.
“Mhm,” Bridge hummed, tightening his grip on Wolf’s hand and pushing open the door.
Wolf followed, his eyes darting around in curiosity as he examined the bakery.
A friendly-looking man behind the counter looked up and beamed as the two walked in. “Bridge! You’ve brought another guest!”
Wolf offered a two-fingered salute and half smile as he turned to the man. "Indeed he did. I'm Wolf, and I was also wondering if I could use your kitchen? My sister and I've developed our own recipe for cupcakes, and I would like to try my hand at it today."
"Of course! It's been so long since I've had someone else use it," The man exclaimed in quite a jolly tone, stepping aside for the two to go through. "I'll be in the main room, out of your hair."
Bridge sat down on a stool in the corner of the room, peering up at Wolf.
