The girl pouted.
“I wish you had picked dare…” she sighed before pulling a smile on her face. “Is there anyone in this room you’d like to make out with?”
The girl pouted.
“I wish you had picked dare…” she sighed before pulling a smile on her face. “Is there anyone in this room you’d like to make out with?”
“Oh, definitely,” Juniper answered, nodding. Her gaze flickered in Holden’s direction before turning back to the girl. “Okay, my turn… Um… Okay, Jace. Truth or Dare?”
Jace perked up, cheeks flushed.
“Dare,” he grinned. “I always pick dare!”
Juniper perked up and glanced around the room. “I dare you to… talk with an accent for the rest of the night.”
Jace groaned.
“I hate you,” he said in a poorly fabricated British accent. His teammates snickered, to which he frowned at. “They’re teasing me! Whatever. You guys are jerks. Anyway, Amber, truth or dare?”
Amber blinked at her name before grinning. “Dare,” she decided confidently.
“Well, I heard our flower boy—“
“Accent, Jace!”
“—chose you as the most attractive female in the group last time,” he gave a lopsided grin. “So I dare you to kiss the guy you find the most attractive.”
“Hm…” Amber hummed, looking over the group of guys. She smiled before standing and walking over to them, pausing in front of each of them as she passed. She paused in front of William for a heartbeat longer than the other before shaking her head and making her way over to Jace. With a small smile and a blush that was now more than just the alcohol, she leaned over and placed her lips on his. Pulling away, she giggled slightly and went to sit back in her spot.
William snorted, taking a sip of his drink as Jace’s lips twisted into a smile.
“Well,” he grinned at her. “I feel flattered. Looks like she chose me, Will~”
William rolled his eyes.
“Congratulations,” he said sarcastically, seemingly unbothered.
“‘Kay, so, Holden. Truth or dare?” Amber asked as she sat back down.
Holden looked up, furrowing his eyebrows.
“Dare, I guess,” he shrugged.
“I dare you to ask one of the girls here out,” Amber declared with a grin.
Holden almost choked on nothing.
“I don’t—I barely know anyone here!” He shook his head, surprised.
“Juniper is right there, mom,” Jude provided unhelpfully. “Right there! You know her!”
“The same way I know Amber and Savannah?” Holden shook his head. “This is awkward… whatever. Juniper, would you like to go out with me?”
“For real?” Jace added with a laugh, acting as if he was finishing Holden’s sentence. That comment caused Holden to look at William pleadingly, who turned his attention away as if to tell his teammate he was on his own. Holden rolled his eyes and proceeded to smack Jace on the back of his head.
Juniper choked on the drink she’d been sipping on and blinked up at him. “Uh. I mean, yeah, but we don’t have to if you really don’t want to…”
Holden looked away, awkwardness crawling up his spine.
“Uh…” The tip of his ears turned pink, causing his mischievous teammates to snicker. “Savannah! Truth or dare?”
Savannah hummed before shrugging. “Truth. There have been too many dares so far.”
Holden looked a little disappointed.
“Well… tell us a rather embarrassing moment of your life. What was one of your most embarrassing moment?” he finally asked, shrugging.
Savannah cursed under her breath and awkwardly scratched the back of her neck. Her cheeks flushed deeply as she glanced away.
“Um. In eleventh, I played truth or dare with a group of kids from my dance club, and they dared to to go into the guys’ bathroom in just my bra and underwear… So I did, and there were a few guys in there…” she admitted in a mumble.
Juniper laughed loudly. “I remember that! That was so funny!”
The guys snorted, some bursting out laughing.
“Oh my God, that is golden,” Jace shook his head, laughing. Drew snickered, trying to hide his laughter but failing. The others, including Casper and Jordan, didn’t even bother hiding it.
“So you’re the daredevil,” Holden commented with a chuckle. “I see.”
Savannah clears her throat, her cheeks burning. “Anyway… William. Truth or dare?”
William looked up, meeting Savannah’s eyes. Why did he think he could get out without playing anything?
“Truth, I suppose,” he answered with a nonchalant shrug of his shoulders.
Savannah’s lips twisted up into a mischievous smirk. “What do you find attractive about Amber? Tell us in detail.”
William blinked before looking at Amber, an eyebrow quirked. That was a rather good question.
“Oh, that, I want to know, too,” Drew grinned. “Do tell us!” He shut up immediately when William glowered at him.
“Her hair, I suppose,” he replied. “When she opens her mouth, though, it ruins the image.”
Amber snorted and rolled her eyes. That was what he liked about her? Wow…
“That’s all? C’mon, there has to be more,” Juniper complained.
William looked pointedly at Juniper, getting irritated with their pointless questions. He looked over at Amber again, locking eyes with hers.
“I'm afraid I don't have the answer you're looking for," William said in a low voice, setting down his cup.
