“It’s fine. Whatever. It’s your turn now, though,” Savannah said with a shrug.

Amber blinked when he caught her eyes, raising her eyebrows at him. What was he giving her that look for?

“Can we play something else?” Jude piped up rather nervously before William could. “I’m getting bored with truth and dare.”

“I have an idea of what we could play,” Savannah suggested, the mischievous smirk reappearing on her lips.

Juniper glanced over at her warily, knowing how her best friend thought. “Do you really think that’s angood idea?”

“Why wouldn’t it be?” the blonde saidnwith a shrug. “It’s just Seven Minutes.”

William shot her a look, raising his eyebrows. Jude, however, brightened up immediately.

“That actually sounds fun,” he grinned. “Imagine getting stuck with someone you don’t want to get stuck with.”

Amber hummed, nodding slowly. “This could definitely be interesting…”

“Interesting? Oh, nonono. This is going to be amazing,” Savannah laughed. “Who wants to start us off?”

“I’ll do it,” Jace raised his hand with a mischievous glint in his eyes. “I can choose a guy. Anyone else can choose a girl. That works?”

When everyone present chorused in agreement, Jace grinned. William sighed heavily. Why was he even here?

“Will, don’t even think about it!” Jude threw an arm around his teammate’s shoulder. “Have some fun. Loosen up!”

William shrugged his arm off, an annoyed look flashing across his face. He didn’t understand why his teammates were so annoying—and how he put up with them in the first place.

“Okay, I choose… Holden,” Jace winked at his friend, who shot him a glare.

Savannah’s eyes light up, and she turned to grin at Juniper, who sighed. Of course…

“I choose Juniper,” she declared, earning a look from her friend.

Holden stood up slowly, awkwardness making the tip of his ears turn pink.

“Good luck, mom~” Jace and Jude sang, laughing as Holden shot them a glare. “Is a closet fine with you, Savannah?”

“Closets are fine. Rooms are fine. As long as the lights are off,” Savannah said with a shrug. “We’ll start a timer as soon as the door is closed.”

Juniper stood and offered Holden a tiny smile. She walked over to him, blushing like crazy.

When Holden and Juniper came back, William looked up, noticing their appearance. Juniper looked happy, smiling widely, her hair a bit of a mess while Holden looked flustered.

“Oooooh,” Jude whistled. “How’d it go, Holden?”

“Sh—shut up, Jude,” Holden muttered, sitting down next to William, who sighed deeply.

Juniper grinned at Savannah as she sat down, giggling a little. “Thank you,” she whispered to her friend. Speaking up, she glanced around at the rest of the group. “Can I pick next?”

Jude showed her a thumbs up.

“Go right ahead,” he grinned.

“Great,” Juniper giggled again before turning to Amber. “You’re turn.”

Amber shrugged and stood up. “Who’s picking the other person?”

“Me!” Jude raised his arm, a mischievous in his eyes. “I would choose Will, but I don’t want to die an early death… so I will be kind to you, Amber, and send in… Jace!”

Amber grinned over at Jace and nodded. "Come on, handsome. Let's see what happens in seven minutes," she giggled.

Jace jumped to his feet, smirking before he winked at Amber.

“After you, m’lady,” he bowed dramatically. “I’ll show you what I can do in seven minutes.”
