Parker snorted.
"Oh, you have no idea," he shook his head. "Usually the rest of us ignore and avoid being designated drivers, but Holden likes being safe."
The man in question shot Parker a look. Parker smiled back.

“So some of you do know how to have fun,” Savannah teased with a laugh. “You guys should come tonight. It’s gonna be a blast.”
“Oh, we are,” Jace crinkled his eyes with a smile. “We are totally coming.”
“But not drinking,” Holden stressed out, glaring at his teammates who muttered out a, ‘yes mom.’ “Anyway, we should be going now. You guys should come see us practice sometimes. We usually do it after school for about thirty minutes. Sometimes we’re also here during breaks.”
“We’ll definitely take you up on the offer,” Juniper declared with a grin, earning a look from the other two girls.
“Maybe,” Amber chuckled. “Anyway, we’ll see you guys later. It was nice talking to you.”
After bidding the girls goodbye, the team walked back into the gym, wanting nothing more than to fall on the floor and fall asleep.
William was already there when they walked in, though he still looked a little ticked off. He glared at his teammates, who offered a nervous smile. William shook his head, choosing to ignore.
"All right, you guys worked hard," the coach said, gathering the teammates. "William, don't be so angry. You need to lose to learn. Anyway, you guys will get a day off tomorrow. Rest your bodies. We won't have practice matches any time soon, either. All of you, rest. Have fun. I don't know–go to that party whatever. Don't drink."
"Yes, sir!"
The team dispersed.
(Yup! Not it.)
(I know, I know…
Lemme think…
And I’ve gotta finish schoolwork, too…)

(XD
Oh no):
(Okay, I think I’ve got this…)
Amber patted her right, front pocket, just making sure her phone was still there, and stepped into the house. It was pretty big, especially for a college party, but that was probably a good thing. Crowded party houses never ended well… Something (or someone) usually got broken…
“Amber~!!! Girl, you look great!” Juniper shouted as she neared her friend, Savannah in tow behind her.
Amber chuckled and glanced down at her high-waisted, torn-up, black skinny jeans and her almost-silver-but-really-gray halter crop top. “Thanks, Juni. You look good, too.”
William scowled at his teammates. They were always loud and obnoxious, and it always irked him. It got far more annoying when they tried to pull him into their stupidity.
Like right now.
Playing dumb games, making dumb jokes. Spilling drinks on each other—to think these boys were college students. Holden, who had been trying to get the boys to stop drinking, had long given up and was with Drew, Parker, Casper and their captain, Jordan. Aside from William, they were the only ones present who were sober. When it would be practice day, William knew they would be running laps around the gym. Jordan was a nice captain, but he was strict. Disobey the rules and you will get punished. William would not feel pity for his teammates.
“C’mon, Will,” Drew patted his arm. “Have fun today. We might have lost, but at least we showed them what we were capable of, right?”
William glared. Drew shrugged.
“Oh, look, the girls who came up to us after our match,” Holden blinked. William followed their gaze and sure enough, there they were. Amber and the girls whose names he didn’t bother remembering. He sighed and shook his head.
Amber laughed at something Savannah said, all three girls holding the iconic, red plastic cups that were used in most high school parties. College students couldn’t afford much more than those kids could, okay?
“Hey. Don’t look now, but Holden’s over there, Junes,” the blonde whispered, nudging her best friend.
Juniper’s eyes widened slightly as she glanced around the room. “What? Where?”
Amber and Savannah laughed, the former shaking her head as the latter nodding in the direction of the guys.
“Over there, lovebird,” Savannah chuckled.
“I’m going to go talk to him,” Juniper suddenly decided.
“Uh… Is that really a good idea right now? You’re kind of a little buzzed, if not drunk, Juni,” Amber said, raising her eyebrows.
Juniper shrugged and handed Savannah her cup before starting toward the group. “I’ll be fine, I’m sure.”
“Oh, look, Juniper’s coming over,” Parker nudged Holden teasingingly. “Holden’s little fangirl!”
Casper quirked an eyebrow, looking at them in confusion. Jordan and Drew followed next, but they bothered not to ask. Holden, on the other hand, slapped Parker’s shoulder.
“She’s not my fangirl,” he rolled his eyes. “Behave, Parker.”
William, too, rolled his eyes, taking a sip of the juice he had in his hand. Holden straightened his back and ran a hand through his hair, his eyes meeting Juniper’s. It was then that William decided it truly had been a terrible idea to attention this party.
“Hey, guys. Enjoying the party?” Juniper asked as she walked up to the guys. She looked over at Holden, her cheeks flushed slightly from both the alcohol and what she was doing.
Meanwhile, Amber and Savannah were chuckling as they held their drinks to their mouths to hide their smiles.
“She’s going to regret this tomorrow, I bet,” Amber guessed.
Savannah hummed and swallowed a sip of her fruity concoction. “Either that or she’ll be really glad she did it…”
Holden quirked an eyebrow, flashing a smile towards Juniper.
“We are,” he said softly, body tense as if he was getting ready to catch it she stumbled. “Our guys right there are drunk, but we’re still sober, so…”
“She’s not my fangirl,” Parker mimicked in a rather poor attempt at Holden’s, which caused even William to crack a smile. “Should we leave you two lovebirds alone?”
Juniper blinked and looked over at Parker. "Fangirl? What? We're not lovebirds…" she stuttered, her gaze shooting to Holden before she looked away.
“Of course not,” Parker said with a smile on his face. “But whatever you say.”
Holden glared at him. “One more word, Parker, I swear…”
The boy in question merely laughed.
“Parker, stop trying to bother Holden,” Jorden stepped in, though there was a teasing smile on his features, too. “C’mon, maybe we should give them some space. What do you say, Will?”
William chose not to respond, merely sip his juice as if he didn’t know the team at all.
"It seems to be going well," Amber chuckled, shaking her head a little before taking another drink of whatever was in her cup.
"Real well…" Savannah agreed with a hum. "I wonder if the girl will land herself a guy tonight."
Amber smiled before glancing around again. Where was Jace? He'd said he would be at the party, hadn't he?
(Honey, you’re falling for the wrong guy)
(Lol, Topaz. She may or may not actually get/stay with him… Who knows. shrugs)
(Honey, you’re falling for the wrong guy)
(XD)
“Hey, guys!” Jace immediately popped up, taking William’s cup from him before drinking it all without another thought. William glowered at him, but either he was too drunk, or he was too much of an idiot to care. “Oh, hey, Juniper. We’re going off to play a game of truth or dare. You wanna join us?”
“Of course, our dear angry flower boy—“ Jude threw an arm around William’s shoulders. “Will will be joining us! Honestly, that’s what we’ve been telling the girls, so man, don’t back down on us. They would be so disappointed!”
William slapped Jude’s arm from his shoulders and gave both him and Jace a whack on the back of their heads.
“I understand it’s your urge to your true, idiotic self, but do excuse me if I don’t want to mingle with your kind,” he scowled. Why was he subjecting himself to such kind of annoyance? It wasn’t that he hated parties. Noise in general just fueled his irritation, and ever since his anger issues got worse… well, he preferred staying away than be pulled into a situation where he ends up blowing up.
In the end, William couldn’t get away. It was like the day he’d kissed Amber on the cheek. Except this time, it was much, much worse.
All three of the girls had joined in on the game, and they were sitting side-by-side in the circle together.
Amber was holding her second? Third? Fifth? Whatever number drink, it was in her hands and continually being lifted to her lips. Every once in a while, she would find something funny — and it was often something just as simple as, say, someone saying "hey" — and she would giggle about it.
Juniper was in much the same state as her, but she didn't seem to hold her liquor quite as well. She was a little worse than Amber, but at least she hadn't burst out crying… Yet…
Compared to her friends, Savannah was sober as can be. She wasn't fully sober, obviously, but the most she was supporting was a light buzz. She was still only on her first drink, and it had been at least a couple of hours since she'd gotten it.
"Who's starting?" she asked, glancing around with an almost challenging smirk.
Most of the basketball team was now officially beyond drunk. William sat between Jude and Jace, the two drunk idiots who wouldn't stop trying to annoy him. Akira was crying, acting as the emotional drunk he always was and Holden and Drew were trying to keep everything in control.
"I can go!" A girl piped up, raising her arm. "Sorry if you feel like I'm attacking you. Juni, truth or dare?"
Juniper blinked and looked up, grinning. “Truth,” she giggled.
