William ruffled her hair adoringly. “Fair enough,” he chuckled along with her. “Also, you look quite adorable with your cheeks flushed from running.”
William ruffled her hair adoringly. “Fair enough,” he chuckled along with her. “Also, you look quite adorable with your cheeks flushed from running.”
Amber rolled her eyes, even as she was grinning up at him. “Thank you, Will. You look pretty cute, too.”
“Only for you,” William nudged her shoulder, grabbing her hand gently and leading her to the door. He pulled off the keys and opened the door, stepping outside and waiting until Amber was done as well so he could lock it.
After slipping her shoes on, amber stepped out after him, her purse hanging from her shoulder. She leaned into William, an adoring look on her face as she watched him. Who knew she could love someone so much?
William immediately pulled her into his arms, lifting her off her feet and into his arms, grinning down at her. “Well, here we go. Now we’re ready.”
“Hey!” Amber laughed, shaking her head with a grin. “Okay, okay. Let’s go before I starve.”
“Before we starve,” William corrected her as he walked to the door, opening it after balancing his girlfriend on his arms. It would be terrible if she fell. “I think you should lock the door. My hands are occupied.”
“Should have thought of that before you grabbed the keys and then picked me up, shouldn’t you?” Amber chuckled, taking the keys from him and reaching over to lock the door. “Okay, we’re good now.”
“I didn’t want you slipping away from me,” William defended himself as he walked to his car. When they were there, he set her down on the passenger side, unlocked his car and opened the door for him. “Here you go.”
Amber chuckled and buckled herself in. “Did you really think I would leave you? Love, I’m never leaving you again for as long as I’m able.”
“That’s good to know, Blue,” he bent down to peck her on the mouth. “But I meant, I didn’t want you running away from me again. I’m tired from chasing after you.”
“Well, I wouldn’t do that, either. I was satisfied enough just now,” Amber chuckled again, leaning over and pressing a kiss to his cheek.
“Fair enough,” he shrugged and shut the door, walking over to his side and sitting down, buckling himself up. “So, which Italian restaurant does my lovely girlfriend want to head off to?”
Amber hummed and sat back in her seat. “There’s one off of Main and Sixth that’s pretty good. We could go there?”
“We could,” William agreed as he started his car. “Do you happen to remember its name?”
“Uh… No, not really. I’ll know it when I see it, though,” Amber said with a shrug.
"Fair enough," William shrugged as he pulled the car out of the parking lot and on to the road.
Amber looked out the window as they drove along. When they reached the intersection, she spotted the restaurant and pointed it out. “It’s right there! Parking is behind the building.”
William's eyes fell on the building she pointed at and nodded, taking a turn in that direction. Once he had parked his car, he unbuckled the seatbelt, unlocked the car and stepped out. He waited for Amber to do the same.
Amber pushes herself out of he car as soon as they were parked. She crossed over to William and looped her arm through his. “Ready?”
William bent down to kiss her on her forehead. "Definitely," he chuckled. "I'm starving, so yes, Blue."
Amber chuckled and led him inside. “Well, I’m hungry, too. Hence why we’re somewhere close by, rather than a nicer place further away.”
They took a seat at a window table, William resting his cheek on his palm as he looked at his girlfriend.
"Question–have I told you that you look beautiful today?" William blinked, tilting his head to the side.
Amber smiled softly at him and opened the menu in front of her. “I don’t think so, but thank you, love. You look nice, too.”
“Well, you look beautiful today,” William flipped through the menu. “So we’d decided on garlic bread. What else do you want to eat?”
