“You don’t have to force yourself, just know this,” William assured her. “At all.”
“You don’t have to force yourself, just know this,” William assured her. “At all.”
Amber hummed and turned to press a kiss to his palm. “I know. Why don’t we think about it for a little bit? I need to think about it.”
“Take all the time you need,” William assured her, pecking her on the lips. “Don’t pressurize yourself.”
“I’m sure it won’t take me very long to decide,” Amber assured him with a grin before pressing a quick, soft kiss to his lips in return to his. “Anyway, we should still look around, just in case”.
“I agree,” William brushed their noses together. “We should still look around. Lead the way, guide.”
Amber chuckled softly and led him a bit further into the apartment. She closed the door behind him before sweeping her arms round the room. “This is the entryway. Not much to see or change, I think.”
William hummed, his eyes flickering to each section of the room as if he was a buyer. “This seems pleasant,” he commented. “Cozy, warm.”
“Hm. Well, I do try to keep it clean, at least,” Amber said with a shrug, pulling her shoes off and leaving them by the door. She looped her arm through his to tug him into the next room. “To the right is the kitchen, left is the living room. Right in front of us it’s the dining room, hence the table. I liked that this was an open-concept apartment. It makes it seem bigger.”
“Well, good, because I prefer a clean environment,” William teased. “It’s a nice apartment. No wonder you were drawn to it, Blue.”
Amber snorted and quickly reached up to peck his cheek. She pulled away before he could respond, making her way into the kitchen.
“So do I. Hence the cleanliness,” she said with a chuckle. “And thank you. I like it even though it’s pretty simple.”
"Pretty simple suits you, amongst other things," William trailed after her, his arms crossed over his chest. "It's small and cozy."
“It is. You can see why I like it now, can’t you?” Amber asked as she pulled two glasses from the cupboard. She glanced over her shoulder at him with a small smile. “Water? Or something else to drink?”
"Water sounds good," William answered with a shrug. "We were supposed to go eat, too…"
Amber hummed and opened the fridge. “I have stuff for a salad. We could do that? Or I think there are burgers in the freezer if you would prefer that…”
“But weren’t we going for Italian?” William wrapped his arms around her, chin on the top of her head. “Before we… got distracted.”
“Why didn’t we do that first, then?” Amber questioned, leaning back into him. “I guess we were a little too distracted…”
William chuckled, tightening his hold on her. “You are a huge distraction, love.”
Amber hummed and twisted around to smile at him. “As are you. We seem to be equally distracting to each other.”
"I wouldn't want it any other way," William pecked her on the mouth.
“And maybe we should go eat now so that we don’t get distracted again,” Amber suggested, turning away again but leaning back into him.
William chuckled. "You're right about that. Extremely right."
“You should carry me out to the car,” Amber joked with a chuckle.
William smirked. "If the lady wishes," he let her go only to pick her up in his arms. "Carry you like this?"
Amber gasped as her feet were swept out from under her and she was suddenly in his arms. “William! I was joking. Put me down,” she laughed.
“Well,” William smirked down at her. “I certainly am not joking. Are your apartment keys with you, or do we need to grab them?”
