Amber let out a surprised breath, flushing at his words. “William Jones… You are full of trouble, aren’t you?” she breathed, shivering at his words and the breath brushing over her ear.
Amber let out a surprised breath, flushing at his words. “William Jones… You are full of trouble, aren’t you?” she breathed, shivering at his words and the breath brushing over her ear.
"Well, gotta do what I can to keep you on your toes," William chuckled, pleased by her reactions. She still hadn't gotten used to him, huh? He loved it. "Sleep well, love."
“Yeah, yeah. Sleep well, hun,” Amber sighed, shaking her head with a smile. Who knew just a few words could affect her so easily? Even still he had this affect on her.
"Love you," William kissed her on the cheek, pulling the covers a bit more over them so she wouldn't catch a cold. "I'll see you in a while."
Amber hummed, her eyes already closed. She shifted back closer to him and sighed, half asleep as she rolled over to face him. “Love you, too,” she mumbled before burying her face in his chest.
William held her close as she fell asleep, kissing her on top of her head once more before he wrapped her in his arms again, shifting and falling asleep.
Harsh ringing woke Amber, and she cursed as she rolled over to grab the phone. She blindly shut the alarm off before just dropping the device, not caring where it landed. Once it was out of her hand, she buried herself back in her boyfriend’s arms, hiding her face in his chest.
William sighed heavily as the loud noise filled his ears, waking him up from his sleep. He tightened his hold on his girlfriend. "Time to wake up?"
“Don’t wanna,” Amber mumbled against him, curling up closer.
"But we have work to do," William murmured in a raspy voice.
“Work can wait,” Amber grumbled, mentally cursing his hot just-woke-up voice.
"Fair enough," William cleared his hoarse throat, tightening his hold on her. "You're welcome to go back to sleep."
Amber hummed and cracked an eye open. “I wish I could, but I’m awake now. And hungry. We should go get lunch after getting dressed…”
William sighed heavily. "All right, lunch it is," he muttered. "Where do you want to go?"
“Anywhere… Unless it’s a seafood place. Maybe something Italian?” Amber suggested with a shrug.
"Italian sounds perfect," William muttered into her hair. "I'm dying for some garlic bread. It's heavenly."
Amber hummed her agreement, smiling as she thought about it. “That definitely sounds good right now. Italian it is, then.”
“Then get up and wear your clothes,” William’s eyes shut again. “I prefer you being naked in my presence alone.”
Amber snorted and smacked him in the chest. “Of course I’m going to wear clothes in public. The only place that I won’t is the shower or bedroom, thanks very much.”
“Or the apartment,” William added under his breath, chuckling when she smacked him. “I love you, Blue.”
“Mostly the bedroom or bathroom, though,” Amber muttered back, having caught his first words and narrowing her eyes at him. “I love you, too, smart-aleck.”
William pulled himself up, pinning his girlfriend on the bed. “You love this smart-aleck, though,” he said quietly, his eyes narrowed as he pecked her on the mouth. “You hardly think of me as irritating.”
“Oh, no. You’re not irritating. More… infuriating. You drive me crazy, Will,” Amber breathed, her eyes wide in surprise as she looked up at him, her heart beating fast. “And if you want to get going soon, you should let me up. Otherwise, we’re going to be here a while.”
William smirked down at her, pressing their foreheads together. “It’s my job, isn’t it? To drive you crazy,” he whispered. “But you’re right. I should get off of you.”
“Yes, you should. Because I fully blame you if we don’t leave within the hour,” Amber murmured, her eyes flashing with a meaningful light. “Not that it would be a bad thing, but we should probably at least wait until tonight if we want to go again.”
