Gabe nodded softly, understanding.
"Okay then. Just know I'm willing to listen if you need to talk."
Gabe nodded softly, understanding.
"Okay then. Just know I'm willing to listen if you need to talk."
Alex nodded. "I-I…don't you…have work?" he asked softly, not looking up at Gabe's face. "Or…?"
"Not today," Gabe said, looking down at Alex.
"But I do tomorrow. For now, though, I'm going to stay here and be here for you."
Alex nodded again. "Oh. Alright." he replied softly. He swallowed hard, letting out a slow breath.
Gabe was starting to feel a bit stuff, so he let go of Alex enough to sit up slightly, arm going back around Alex once he had settled.
Alex glanced at him. He had thought that Gabe would be more…uncomfortable with doing something like this. Cuddling a sodomite? That wasn't something anyone usually did.
Gabe understood just how strange what was doing was, but he kept telling himself it was just because Alexe needed it. It has nothing to do with his own feelings. Those were wrong. Still, it was nice…
He was just trying to be helpful. That's what he kept telling himself.
"How are you doing?" He asked quietly.
Alex shrugged a little bit. "I-I don't know…" he whispered. "I don't…I don't know anything."
Gabe pressed his lips.
"Yes, you do," he says softly. "You know a lot of things. You know your name. You know where you've been. You know where you are."
Alex shook his head. "I don't." he whispered again, rubbing his eyes tiredly. He didn't quite know what to do.
Gabe sighed softly, putting his hand on Alex's head.
"Then you can learn."
Alex shrugged a little bit. "I-I…don't think…" he whispered, shaking his head for a moment.
"Alex," have said, a bit firmer. He held Alex's head in both of his hands, looking him in the eyes.
"If you do not know something, you can learn it. The only reason people think they can't is because they don't work hard enough for it. You can't learn everything easily; some things will take so much time and effort. But you can learn it."
Alex looked up at Gabe. "I-I can't help it…" he whispered. "I'm not…I can't…I'm not like you…" he sniffled softly.
"I know you're not," Gabe said gently, running his thumb over Alex's cheek. "But you're able to. We just have to find a way that works best for you."
Alex shook his head a little bit, but unintentionally leaned into Gabe's hand. "I just…I don't know if…"
"We'll find a way, Alex. You're not alone." Gabe felt Alex lean into his hand, and he didn't pull away.
Alex sniffled a little bit, and shrugged his shoulders just a little bit. "I-I…" he shook his head.
"You can do so much," Gabe said softly. "And just because those things aren't the same as what others can do doesn't mean it isn't wonderful, and good." He ran his thumb over Alex's cheek again.
Alex shook his head again. I've killed people you have no idea what I've done what I can do please… He leaned into Gabe's hand, closing his eyes.
"Everything happens for a reason, Alex. No matter what had happened, it will find a place in your life." Gabe sighed, using a finger to brush some hair out of Alex's face.
Alex shook his head quickly, yet again. "No, I…you don't know anything about me, Gabe, please…"
"You're right, I don't." Gabe was silent for a moment.
"But… Even if you did something horrible before, that doesn't define you."
Alex let out a soft sound, shaking his head a little. "N-no, I just…"
Gabe looked at Alex softly, trying to coax Alex's own words out.
"You just what?" He said quietly. His tone wasn't mocking; he truly wanted to know.
