Alex shook his head a little. "Ah… nothing. I-I'm fine." He replied softly, clenching his jaw for a moment. "I just…"
Alex shook his head a little. "Ah… nothing. I-I'm fine." He replied softly, clenching his jaw for a moment. "I just…"
Gabe frowned a little, hand going up to caress hold Alex's head, concern showing.
"What do you need me to do?" He said softly.
Alex shook his head. "Nothing." He replied softly, closing his eyes again. There was nothing Gabe could do. He didn't want to tell Gabe about his abilities. He couldn't.
"Are you sure?" Gabe said, trying not to press too much into it. He just wanted to keep Alex safe.
"You can trust me," he said gently.
Alex nodded. "I-it's…nothing you can do anything about." he whispered, keeping his eyes shut tightly.
Gabe's eyebrows creased.
"Okay. Just remember I'm right here for you." He held Alex close, as if to hide him away from whatever he was facing. He rested his forehead against Alex's.
Alex took a deep breath. At the forehead rest, he creased his eyebrows together for a moment.
Have pulled away when he felt Alex's eyebrows crease.
"Sorry," he says quickly, telling at himself. Not sure the act, but for letting this happen and being okay with it.
Alex shook his head. "It's okay. I just need…" he shrugged slightly. "Sorry."
"Don't be," Gabe said quietly. "You did nothing wrong. Do you… Want me to leave?"
Alex shook his head quickly. "No, it's…" It was worse when he was alone. "It gets worse when I'm alone." He whispered.
"Okay then. Do you want me to stop holding you?" If Alex needed space, Gabe would give it to him.
Alex shrugged. "If…if you want to." He replied softly.
"Alex, " Gabe said softly, "I want to know if you want me to or not. You're the one being affected by this decision. You shouldn't let me make it for you."
Alex shrugged. "I…" He didn't know what to say. "Please don't let go." He whispered, glancing up at Gabe.
"Okay then," Gabe said, not taking his arms away. "I'm not going anywhere." He smiled softly, trying to be comforting.
Alex swallowed, holding onto Gabe still. He closed his eyes again. I don't want to see the ghost. I don't wanna I don't wanna I don't wanna.
Gabe slowly rubbed Alex's back with his thumb, moving a touch closer.
"I'll keep you safe," he assured gently.
Alex nodded just a little bit, shivering slightly.
Gabe pulled the blanket up around them more, resting his head on Alex's without a word.
Alex kept his eyes closed, though he relaxed a little bit. He held onto Gabe.
Gabe rubbed Alex's back lightly, humming softly.
Alex was quiet, holding onto Gabe still. He kept his eyes shut. The feeling of the ghost eventually retreated, leaving.
Gabe waited quite some time before speaking.
"How are you feeling?" He asked quietly.
Alex shrugged slightly, shuddering just a little. "I-I don't know…"
