"You're going to have to get yourself a plot of land," Gabe said softly. "Somewhere that has farmable land."
"You're going to have to get yourself a plot of land," Gabe said softly. "Somewhere that has farmable land."
He nodded a little. "But…I don't know how to farm." he looked up at Gabe with a slight frown.
"I know," Gabe said, taking Alex's hand. "I don't either. But we'll have to learn, if we plan to live here. I'm… well, I'm sure I'll be able to find someone to watch and learn from, and tell you what they do."
He bit his lip faintly, and nodded a little. "Okay." he said softly.
Gabe kissed Alex's cheek.
"We're going to get through this," he promised.
He looked up at Gabe uncertainly, and nodded faintly. "Okay."
"Let's get going," he mentioned. He was ready to go, making sure Alex was as well.
He grabbed the bag, looking around the hotel room for a moment.
Gabe let out a breath, letting his hand slip into Alex's.
"We'll be okay," he said again softly.
He looked up at Gabe. "Are you sure?"
"I am." Gabe offered a sweet smile, kissing Alex's cheek.
He smiled back, leaning into the kiss a little.
Gabe gave Alex's hand a gentle squeeze, beginning to gently lead him to the door.
He moved towards the door with Gabe.
Gabe didn't open the door, instead letting go of Alex's hand to go to his back.
"I'm right here," the ghost promised.
He nodded a little, and opened the door, swallowing faintly as he started walking.
Gabe kept right by Alex's back, kissing his head discreetly occasionally.
Alex headed to the front counter, checking out of the hotel.
Gabe stayed silent, not bothering Alex or distracting him. His attention was piqued, however, when he picked up snippits of conversation.
"Witch…"
"Let's you talk to ghosts…"
"…Evil."
Alex didn't pay any attention to the conversations, heading towards the place where he could get a small homestead.
Gabe followed after Alex, his hand lightly resting on the man's arm. They'd barely crossed the street when approached by a woman.
Alex looked up when the woman came closer, and he bit his lip for a moment.
"You're a haunted man," The woman said calmly. Gabe could have sworn she was looking at him, not Alex.
"Too many of you come here to escape, but you never do."
"What…what do you mean?" Alex asked softly.
"I can see him. What did you do to him?" Gabe took a step back, his hand still on Alex's arm.
