There looks to be a few vendor stands in the plaza, each visited by people with various capes and wings. There’s a majority of manta and bird wings, and a few with jellyfish-like covers. Everyone is going about their business, but a few curious eyes watch the three enter. Resh and Tsadi in particular bring a lot of attention with their height.

Teth looks around, glaring at people but saying nothing. Resh glances around, then pulls his hood over his head and stares at the ground, clearly a little self conscious about the attention. Tsadi is the only one who doesn’t react much other than looking around.

As they start heading towards an exit from the plaza, a familiar man rounds the corner followed by a young woman who appears to be in her late teenage years. It’s Cyrus, and he looks extremely ticked off. The young woman trailing behind him looks considerably anxious and scared.
He makes eye contact with the three, and that does nothing to improve his mood.

Resh stares at Cyrus, narrowing his eyes. He tilts his head down towards Teth, not breaking eye contact with Cyrus, and whispers, “What’s got him so pissed off now?”

Teth looks at the young woman behind him, then looks up at Resh and whispers back. “No idea… but I’m kind of worried about the girl over there with him. She looks pretty scared.”

Resh stays silent for a moment. “…This is probably the dumbest idea I’ve ever had, but I’m gonna see what’s going on.” He looks extremely anxious about the idea of confronting Cyrus, but his nosiness always seems to get the best of him.

Teth sighs. “That’s a horrible idea. I’ll come with you.”

Tsadi crosses his arms and stares at Cyrus for a moment, then looks at Teth and Resh. “Seriously? Why aren’t we just leaving him alone?”

Resh glares at Tsadi. “You know how I get when I’m worried about someone I’ve never met before in my life.” Without another word, he starts heading in Cyrus’s direction, Teth and Tsadi reluctantly following him.

Teth looks up at Tsadi and mumbles, “He’s a dad, what did you expect?”

Resh rolls his eyes. “I heard that. And you’re right, so stop complaining.”

Cyrus glares at the three as they head for him. He was not in the mood to deal with them again. He glances at the girl behind him and speaks to her in presumably their language. ”Do not get involved in this, Daphne.” His voice had an apparent warning tone in it.

Daphne stares at Resh, Teth, and Tsadi as they start walking in their direction, then quickly looks up at Cyrus when he speaks. She nods silently and looks down, staring at the ground and fidgeting.

Resh glares daggers at Cyrus while he approaches him, crossing his arms. “What’s going on over here?” His tone is steady, but it’s clear he’s both worried and pissed off. He glances at the girl and his expression softens, but his glare quickly returns as he looks back at Cyrus.

Cyrus’s face suddenly changes to something more neutral, with barely any effort made. “Can a brother not walk with his own sister, or is that not allowed where you come from?” He tilts his head, a piercing gaze directed at Resh. People are watching, keep it together. We resort to violence if he gets nosy. No, we don’t. Shut up.

Resh only looks more suspicious at Cyrus’s sudden change in behavior. His mind practically starts screaming ”red flag.” Resh takes a deep breath before continuing. “Walking with your own sibling is allowed, yes. However, I have a very strong feeling that there’s more to this than just spending quality time with your sister.” He meets Cyrus’s gaze with a piercing stare of his own. He really thinks I’m that stupid, does he?

Teth stands next to Resh, watching the girl. The poor thing looks terrified… there’s definitely something wrong. She considers trying to silently communicate with her, but that might only make it worse.
