(What?)
Emmeline smiled, happily looking at the shops and stands. This place was nice she decided, nice enough that she would easily settle down here. She stayed close to Miles as they walked, as much as she wanted to explore, she didn't want anything bad to happen to him if she left.
(…. Wut? Are you jus plain confoozed?)
Miles strutted around a little, seeing if anything was worth buying. "Do you want to buy something?…" He glanced at her.
(I honestly don't know :'3)
(I am confuzzled..and exhausted..sry..)
She shrugged, "Nothing yet, well, nothing that's useful or practical." She looked up at him and smiled softly, "I'm sure I'll find something.."
"There's nothing really useful around here anyways…." Nothing worth buying, at least… Miles sauntered around, but didn't see anything. He let out a grunting sigh and turned to her. "You wanna try and find an inn or something?"
Emmeline nodded, "Sure, do you have any specifications?" She asked, already scanning the surroundings for an inn.
“Just as long as it isn’t crowded….” Miles muttered under his breath. Because that could basically put me in a grave… He shifted around.”
"Don't get in trouble or get caught, I'm going to go find a place to stay." She said, looking up at him before walking off, a small smile on her face as she got to wander around.
Miles chilled in the square, looking around every so often. This place seems like a good place to get my hand on some valuables… But with this tight of a community, I don't know if I'll be able to pull that off…
(May I do the slightly unthinkable?)
(Sure)
Emmeline soon found a small and homey inn. It looked less traveled than most of the other places and the cozy atmosphere just completed the nice place. She soon got them a room and walked back out to find Miles.
(Oof lol okey >:3)
Miles was waiting around for Emmeline when some girl got his attention. "Hey, you," she said, "You look like you could use some food."
He turned and glared at her. "….Doesn't everyone look like they can use food?"
She laughed. "You're so funny… Well? Would you like some or not?…."
He shifted and she watched him tentatively, chewing on her lip. "I guess… Some oranges couldn't hurt."
She hummed seductively. "That's a great choice…" She turned to the back of the stall and bent down.
He waited some time before he saw Emmeline coming.
(Hmmcbbnb sooooooo hot….)
Emmeline smiled when she walked to him, "I found an inn a few streets away and I got a room, we can head over whenever." She bounced on her toes and looked up at Miles, "It's not too crowded either, and it's really homey and nice."
"That's nice. I'm just buying a few oranges for us…"
The girl got what he wanted and got up. She gave Emmeline a hard glare before setting the oranges on the counter and flipping her hair back.
Miles dug out his money and handed it to her, and she intentionally brushed his hand for as long as she could without making it too obvious to Emmeline. "Thank you, hope you come again," She said, being all too seductive.
Emmeline watched the interaction, very confused. The girl was quite pretty, she supposed, but that didn't mean she could hit on Miles she decided, leaning against him as if to say, 'he's mine'. "Who was that?" She asked quietly, looking up at him, almost seeming jealous of the girl but trying not to show it.
As she was leading him away, he said, "Just some girl wanting me to buy her oranges," He shrugged. "Why? You have a problem with her or something?"
"She was being a little…too nice to say the least." She said, frowning and shaking her head, "I don't have a problem with her as much as i have a problem with what she was doing."
"What?" He said, "What was wrong with what she was doing?" Miles looked down at her. I hate to see Emmeline unhappy, but there's nothing wrong with being nice to someone…
She sighed, "Miles, she was hitting on you, didn't you notice?" Her pace quickened slightly and she pulled him down the street that the inn was on.
Miles grunted when she suddenly pulled him along. "Oh please…." He grumbled. "She was just being nice." Maybe too nice now that I think about it…
"If you like her just tell me, ok?" Emmeline said softly, shaking her head, "I wouldn't want to be the person that makes your life miserable."
Miles stopped. "Emmeline…." He said softly. "I feel like you're the person that's making my life… More liveable" He told her, a bit hushed. "I would probably be by the river with a trap on my leg, hadn't you come and help me… If not, most certainly dead."
She stopped alongside him and glanced up at him, "I would have helped you even if I had no clue who you were." She sighed and looked back at the ground, "That has nothing to do with what I said, I said I didn't want to be the person that made your life miserable."
Miles lifted her head up. "I understand you're upset, but just because she's hitting on me or whatnot doesn't mean I like her back instantaneously… If anything… I would do absolutely anything to be with you. And I wouldn't do that if I knew you were going to make my life miserable…" I just don't want her to leave me… "… I even told you I loved you back."
"Do you really feel that way towards me?" She asked softly, "I know I told you how I feel, but do you honestly like me that much? Don't base your answer off what I want to hear, or anything I've said."
Miles bit his lip. She's just making things a thousand times harder on herself… "I mean… I enjoy your company since I've practically lived by myself for 7 years. You were able to take care of me when I couldn't do it for myself…" He blew out a short breath. "And just… Just being around you makes my life more lively than just waking up in the morning and doing the same old routine every day… It means something to me that you're here with me. All the time."
Emmeline nodded, "Thank you..for answering my question honestly." She said, putting only a little emotion into her voice, enough just to make it sound like she really did want to know his answer, which she did. She grabbed his arm and tugged him forward again, "Let's get to the inn, I made sure there were two beds this time as well, so that we aren't squished."
