“Don’t die,” He called out as he sat on the bank. Nothing beats the day like a nice nap before the day even starts….
She smiled softly at his answer, walking through the woods and humming softly. She found a tree quite a ways away that she could actually climb and she scrambled up, happy that at least one tree had branches low enough for her to reach.
Miles just continued to nap.
(You can just have her do whatever, I don’t care)
(Alright)
She sat down in the crook of a branch and settled in, soon getting bored and hanging upside down from the branch. She laughed and grabbed the branch with her hands, unhooking her legs and just hanging from her hands. It was probably very childish, but she didn't care, it was something she could do until Miles woke up from his nap or whatever he was doing. After a while though she again got bored and hopped down from the tree, looking around for something else to do.
Miles woke up after a little longer, but didn't get up from the ground. He stretched and let out a yawn, almost tempted to go right back to sleep. Nah… We need to get going…
She sighed and walked back towards where Miles was, reaching the creek downstream away and smiling as she decided to walk through it upstream. She rolled up her pants legs and stepped in, liking the cold temperature of the water as she made her way towards their camp of sorts.
Miles spotted her and glanced at her. "You look like you're bored…." He said a bit softly. "You want to leave? Or stay and… Swim or something?"
"We can leave if you're done with your nap, unless you want to stay." She said, looking at him as she stepped out of the water and waited for her legs to dry so she could roll down her pants legs again.
"Nah… It would be better if we got going anyways…" He shoved himself to his feet and went to the small camp, putting his cloak over his shoulders. Alright…. "I think I'm ready then."
Emmeline nodded and walked over to their stuff picking it up and glancing over at the fire. It had burned out almost all the way and she watched it die out all the way, "So am I, let's get going."
Miles headed out to the path and made sure she followed before continuing further. "I feel like we should settle down in the next town we come to…. How does that sound?" It is an immediate decision, but we have to make one sooner or later…
"That sounds good, as long as there are no hunters," She said with a nod, rolling down her pants legs as she walked. She carried the bundle of their stuff and nodded again, "We also have to get a pack for this stuff."
"Yup…. I mean…." He lowered his voice. "No one can really tell I'm a werewolf just by looking at me, but I bet those hunters have their ways…" So we'll have to take caution anyways…
Emmeline looked up at him, "That's true," She thought about it for a moment and shrugged, "Maybe they have spies…or they are the spies and they're really good at fitting in.."
"Either way… We should at least make an effort to conceal me on those nights where I transform no matter what…" He muttered, staring at his feet.
She nodded, "Just tell me when you're going to transform and I'll do my best to find a way to keep you hidden and safe." She said, giving him a light smile, "I promise."
"It should be a while before the next full moon, so we have time," He whispered. "But… For now… We can chill out." Miles stretched his arms up and groaned, taking in a deep breath.
"That's going to be nice, and you'll actually be able to come outside and look around." She realized, the smile growing.
"Oh, of course…. Although I'm not all fuzzy and fluffy anymore…." Miles gave her a flushed grin. "….But I'm still just as willing to snuggle…"
She squeaked softly and felt herself blush, smiling at the ground, "That actually sounds quite nice," She said softly.
His grin widened. "Oh, is that so?" I'm surprise she didn't hit me playfully or something… Well then…. That's something you don't hear every day from someone like Emmeline…
"Oh be quiet.." She mumbled, blushing furiously, "I didn't really think about what I was saying, ok?"
Miles shrugged. "Whatever…"
They kept walking for quite some time before they came up on another village, about twice the size of the smaller one a few miles back.
He came to a halt. "Now isn't this a nice little place we have here?"
Emmeline surveyed the new village, nodding in agreement, "It looks quite nice at least, I don't think we'll have trouble finding a place to stay here." She stopped alongside him and looked at the village again.
(Lol)
Miles nodded. "Then what are we waiting for?"
They headed down in no time, scoping out the place. It was quite large, big enough to have it's own small town square and everything, lined with small shops and market stalls. A few homes were scattered here and there, and the town had an overall homey vibe. I like this place… But there's one thing that can make it or break it…
