Simon felt the same way, he just hoped they were right. He really hoped Astral wouldn’t fuck this all up.

Mia let out a breath, smiling.
"This is better…"

“Yeah…just gotta hope it stays that way.” He said softly. He was afraid of what would happen if he accidentally pushed Astral too much.

(But he will think he's just keeping Simon safe : D)

"Yeah…" Mia looked over at Simon, letting out a breath.

“But right now, we’re all good! We’re safe.” He said, trying to reassure the both of them.

"We are, that's right! And we're gonna make sure we can stay like this." Not like last time.

“Yeah. We’re gonna do our best.” He agreed, squeezing her hand quickly. “We should do something fun, while we’re up.”

"Mm, yeah I gotta agree. What do you want to do?" Mia squeezed back, a smile still lingering.

“Hmm I dunno. Not anything where we have to move around too much, I’ve gotten a bit tired out already…”

"Well, how does a board game sound? Or maybe a card game?" Mia hummed some, thinking.

“Ooh that sounds really fun! What all do we have?” He asked.

(I'm sorry but, like- it's in character so it's okay)

"I'm not entirely sure," Mia admitted. "What sounds good to you?"

((It’s okay but I will be crying and so will Simon :’) ))

“Umm…well I don’t know too many card games so a board game might be better.”

"Okay, then!" Mia stood, moving to look around for a game for them to play.

Simon watched her go, staying seated at the counter. He was happy that everything could be peaceful right now.

"How does Monopoly sound?" Mia called out, looking over her shoulder to Simon.

“Sounds good to me!” He called back, giving her a reassuring smile.

Mia made her way back, the box held in her hands.
"Great!"

Simon waited for her to set it down before opening the box, helping her to set it all up.

"Which piece would you like?" Mia said, offering them to Simon to chose.

“Ummmmm could I have the car?” He asked, pointing at the one he wanted.

"Sure thing. I'll… be the horse, then." Mia handed Simon's piece over, setting her's down at the start place.

Simon smiled, setting his piece down next to hers. “Do you wanna go first?” He asked, offering her the dice.

"Sure I'll go!" Mia took the dice, shaking them in her hands before rolling a three.

Simon smiled, watching her make her move, humming softly under his breath. He liked doing things like this that made their situation a little more normal.
