When they did these things together, it was easier to forget. That they weren't on earth, that they were just two friends hanging out. Mia bought the space she landed on, humming in turn.
When they did these things together, it was easier to forget. That they weren't on earth, that they were just two friends hanging out. Mia bought the space she landed on, humming in turn.
Simon picked up the dice, rolling them in his hands for a good 10 seconds in his hands before releasing them onto the board. He got a five, and moved accordingly, buying the space he landed on.
"Dang, railroad already?" Mia giggled, picking the dice up for her turn.
“Yep! What can I say, I like the railroads.” He said, giggling a bit as well.
"You're gonna hit me real hard with them," Mia said, laughing. She rolled, getting a five herself. She bought the property, smiling.
Simon smiled, picking up the dice, rolling a three, and not buying the property.
Mia felt a small grin forming in turn, rolling. She landed on 'Just Visiting' in the jail, humming some.
Simon noticed her grin, making him a little bit nervous. He took his turn, buying the property he landed on.
Mia rolled once more, buying the orange property she landed on. She looked up, arranging her properties in front of her.
“You’re starting to make me nervous.” He said jokingly, smiling at her. “You’re good at this aren’t you?”
"Just a little bit," Mia admitted. "Want some tips?" The woman was perfectly fine with sharing her secrets, as long as they have a good time together.
“That’d be great.” He said, clapping his hands together excitedly.
"Okay! First tip- go for the brown and light blue monopolies first," Mia said, pointing to the properties on the cheapest side of the board.
“Oh okay! Got it!” Simon had never really played Monopoly much because ya know…he was always surrounded by people with anger management issues.
"Great! See, they're cheap and easy to build on, but if you manage to get these and the purple-red ones on the side, you've got a large chunk of easy profit." Mia understood Simon not having played much, so she would be fine playing with him like this, sharing tips.
“Got it! Yeah that makes sense!” He smiled over at her. “Thanks for the tip, o mighty monopoly champion.”
"Mia laughed at the title, shaking her head some.
"Of course, my good sir!"
Simon laughed softly, a content smile on his face. “Let’s continue then, shall we?”
"Yes, let's. It's your turn." Mia hummed, looking over the board for what her best next move would be.
“Okay.” He took the dice, rolling them after about 10 seconds. He moved his piece, thinking to himself for a second before deciding not to buy it.
Mia watched Simon make his move, rolling herself. She thought, but she didn't buy the property either.
Simon rolled again, actually getting a pretty high number, and after a whole minute of thought, decided to buy it. It would be a useful property to have so, why not?
Mia smiled, taking the dice as she waited for Simon's move. She hummed in approval when he bought it, tossing the dice out to land on property taxes. She let out a sigh, putting the money back in the bank.
“Aw that sucks.” Simon said, before taking the dice from her and taking his turn. He hadn’t landed on anything unlucky yet, and that trend continued. He decided not to buy what he’d landed on.
"Ah, that's life! But I'll bounce back." Mia smiled some, chuckling as she took the dice for her turn. She rolled, landing on Simon's railroad. She forked over the money for rent, laughing just a bit.
"Maybe not this road, though…"
