Rowan nodded and drew his knees up to his chest. He hugged them tightly and rested his chin on them. "Here's hoping… but all we can do is wait."

@GoblinKing

"Yeah. Don't wanna keep my hopes too high, though." Damien pet Milo behind the ears, pretty distracted from the show by this point.

@GoblinKing

"Mhm." Damien rubbed his eyes. He checked the time again. He wasn't watching the show anymore, he really just wanted to chill out. "Ah. Fuck. I got homework for when I get home, don't I?"

@Fraust

Rowan kept watching the clock, growing increasingly anxious as 2:45 drew nearer. By the time it was 2:40, he was trembling slightly.

@GoblinKing

The sound of a pickup truck and too-loud country music rumbled outside. Cliff, obviously- he never made his presence a secret. It was almost funny how stereotypical he was.

"I think Cliff's here." Damien got up, stretching.

@Fraust

Rowan breathed a quiet sigh of relief. "Thank God… let's go meet him." He grabbed his crutches and pulled himself to his feet.

@GoblinKing

Before either of them could take more than a few steps, Cliff opened the front door and stepped inside. "Hey, y'all home?" He called.

"Yeah, Cliff, we're in the living room." Damien responded, running his fingers through his hair.

@Fraust

Rowan stopped in his tracks and shifted a bit to be more comfortable on the crutches. "Hey, Cliff." He nodded his head in greeting once Cliff was in the living room.

@GoblinKing

Cliff put up a hand in a still wave. "Hey."

"Since you're already here– I'm just gonna go now, can't be too careful." Damien grabbed his car keys from the kitchen counter, waving to the two. "I'll see you guys later!" With that, he hurried out the door.

@Fraust

Rowan waved and sighed. Once Damien was gone, he glanced up at Cliff nervously. "So, uh… it's been a while since we've seen each other, huh?"

@Fraust

Rowan nodded a bit. "It… uh… yeah, it's been rough. The whole not being able to be alone thing has gotten worse, so… that's fantastic."
