Aquarius gave a mock gasp. "How dare you say that?" He said. "You could hurt me seriously! I could die, you know!"
Aquarius gave a mock gasp. "How dare you say that?" He said. "You could hurt me seriously! I could die, you know!"
"That's too bad." Kesari said with mock sympathy, taking a step away from him playfully. "You'll just have to find another solution."
"Fine," Aquarius said, tossing his head and moving away from her. He turned his back on her, a pretend look of hurt on his face.
Kesari muffled laughter with her fist, shaking her head. The memory of the kiss they'd shared to get that girl off his tail came to mind, and just how right it had felt, kissing him.
Aquarius turned back and smirked at her, before grinning at Mara.
Kesari managed to quiet her laughter, turning to the witch. "My apologies, but I happen to trust my fiancee more than I do your words, Mara."
Mara huffed. "I'll get you back," she vowed. "Mark my words!" She stormed away.
Aquarius laughed. "Mark my words!" He mimicked.
Kesari muffled a snort with her fist, slapping his shoulder with her free hand. "Shush!"
"What?" He asked innocently.
"You're horrible, you know that?" She bit her lip to hide a smile, looking up at him.
"How dare you say that!" He mock gasped, hand to his heart. "I thought you loved me!"
"And you've apparently been kissing other women behind my back." She pointed out, playing along.
"True," Aquarius shrugged. "Guilty as charged."
Kesari shook her head with a laugh, ignoring the odd urge to ask him to kiss her. "Well, how have you been since we last saw each other?"
"Fine," he said with a shrug. "My brother isn't being an idiot-yet."
(Time skip? To a few hours later? I have the best idea ever.)
((Sure! What's you idea?))
(So, they separate for a bit, and then a few hours later Kes sees a very drunk Aquarius flirting with a bunch of witches, and then she meets Tempest, who sees her brother and basically throws him against the wall.)
((Oh my god. It's perfect.))
Kesari was bored again, but wouldn't say anything to anyone who asked. She was just a bit too socially awkward for that. Her and Aquarius had separated a little while ago, him going off to chat with an acquaintance, and her making her way back to the refreshments. Thus, the plate of small meatless appetizers.
Tempest wandered through the crowd. She spotted a witch she had seen a while ago with her brother and moved over. "Hey," she said.
It took Kesari a moment to realize she was being addressed, and she blinked, looking up at the woman in front of her. "Hello. Er-I'm not in your way or anything, am I?"
Tempest laughed. "No." She extended her hand. "I'm Tempest. I hope my brother wasn't bothering you? He's such a flirt," she said, sighing slightly.
"No, he wasn't bothering me." Kesari said with a small laugh, taking Tempest's hand and giving it a light shake. "I'm Kesari, but feel free to call me Kes."
"Good," Tempest chuckled. She glanced around, before catching sight of her brother.
Kesari followed her gaze, and though she didn't know it, her face showed the odd way her heart clenched at the sight of Aquarius flirting with a group of giggling witches. It was only a flash though, before it was once again neutral. "You weren't kidding. I should've figured, though, considering how we met."
"How you met?" Tempest's eyes flashed to her brother's hand, where the mark was glittering. She scowled. "He's your soulmate, isn't he?"
